I ordered this hat for a theatrical performance of Alice in Wonderland, but the director decided to go a different direction with the costuming. I had the return label ready to go, but I figured I'd open the box and take a quick look at the hat before I headed to the post office. The hat was so well-made and so fun to wear that I decided to keep it even though I have no immediate purpose for it! It's huge and sturdy and looks fantastic. Everyone who's seen it loves it and I can't wait until Halloween party season! Return cancelled!

This is a great hat for a costume. Cartoon like. I added my own touch to it to match my vibe.

I purchased this hat for my child's Mad Hatter Tea Party birthday party. In brief, it worked and looked great.Pros:- I have a rather large head and this fit just fine. I didn't even have to bother to adjust the size though I think this would be helpful for those with more normal size heads.- The quality of the material is very good. The hat held its shape (once formed) really well!- Great price!Cons (and these are very minor, hence maintaining five starts):- One must stuff something into the top part of the hat to make it stand up. We just used some crunched-up paper and it worked fine. This is because of...- The hat comes flat when shipped. Hence you must prop up the top of the hat after you receive it.In the end, it was a hit at the party! That is all I can ask of such a hat...

A bit small for adults, even with the largest adjustment.

Great hat, large in size, was great decoration for guests at our “unbirthday” party! A bit pricey for how often it might be used.

As others have commented, this hat really is bigger and better than expected. I received many compliments on it on Halloween. Cleverly, it has a zippered compartment that you can fill to puff-up the hat. I filled it with all of the packing material from the Amazon box! You can also easily adjust the size for adults or kids.To answer some comments in the other posts, this is a soft, floppy, velvet hat. You fill it to make it stand tall. The brim is very springy, a little bit like a pop-open car shade, so it holds its shape well.The brim is about 18" in diameter, the top is 14", and it is 10" tall.

I wanted to use this hat for a mad hatter party. It is fabulous, well made and beautifully detailed. I was very impressed with the quality. It is vary large though, and I had to return.
