After reading the reviews here I was nervous about ordering the Caribbean glass, even though I have loved every other Elk Lighting product I've ever purchased. But an open box deal was available, giving me the opportunity to order this single pendant before buying the other two multi-light pendants in the series to complete my kitchen remodel, costing upward of $600 for the 3.The color of the glass is beautiful and vibrant. It is less translucent than I expected it to be, but it definitely does NOT look colored on by a child, as one other reviewer said. The pigment almost looks like it's still wet, swirling beneath a protective layer of glass. It is also exactly the size I expected, but I can't yet comment on simplicity of installation because it isn't completed.One other note - my husband despises halogen lighting (I happen to love it) and wanted to go for LED. Before ordering this light I confirmed with the Elk sales department that the G9 halogen bulb this light uses CAN be replaced by a G9 LED, which are currently running on Amazon for about $7, so we will be using this with an LED.

I loved the photo and bought 3 of these for my kitchen remodel. These were about the worst looking lights I have ever seen! They're nothing like the beautiful translucent subtle glass like on the picture. The real thing the glass scratched up and the color is a dull greenish blue like the color of a hawaiian shirt. So you see a patchy surface without any sheen when lit up. The patterns do not fade or twirl into one another but are bold, tacky stripes superimposed on top of the dull dark aquablue surface. I thought it was a defect and sent it back. The Destination Lighting store stated it was exactly as expected with hand crafted glass. Since when?? This is a shame for artisans everywhere who make beautiful products.The cost of the return was very high with shipping and restocking fee. For the cost of the return you could buy 2 generic pendant lights that are much better looking at Home Depot. And the bulbs are snap in- not standard or easy to replace. And without the original shipping which was so slow I halted my renovation project 2 weeks to wait for then. Definitely a mistake.

Great looking product. But the wiring has no labels or color coding on them, so you have to call the company for installation instructions. I did that and the person I spoke to actually gave me the reverse wiring and I had to re-wire the first one of three that I bought a second time.

They are pretty but the color is different then what it shows.

I ordered these lights without reading any reviews... unfortunately I should have, since it would have saved me some great disapointment. I loved the picture, but what was delivered did NOT Match what the picture looked like at all! The main turquoise color was great, but the bold stripes on the glass are not faded in, they look like they ran out of time producing the lights and just painted something on there.so not get this light if you expect it to look like in the picture. thankfully I got the super saving free shipping and dont have to deal with shipping charges.

I thought it was clear class with some color from the picture. But mine is a light blue with some swirls of dark blue. There is nothing wrong with it, but I am going to keep looking for the one I have in mind.

I should of listened to the other comments left by other buyers. They clearly stated that the product looks nothing like it is advertised as... I just did not want to believe them because in the photo they advertise it with it looks so beautiful. The advertisement photo is clearly a drawing, and not an actual real picture of their product. Their product looks cheap, discolored, and looks like a $5 made in China piece of plastic.. If you think you are getting what you see in the picture, think again, its not the same thing.. See my attached picture, my picture even makes it look better then it actually looks, it looks so cheap..

BEAUTIFUL GLASS! ONLY ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT I ORDERED 2 LIGHTS AND 1 LAMP IS MUCH DARKER THAN THE OTHER. I KNOW THEY ARE HAND MADE SO NO TWO ARE ALIKE BUT YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE MORE SIMILAR.
