The books in this series do a great job of explaining each step with plenty of pictures along the way. They break complex recipes into easy to repeat parts and do an excellent job presenting the information.

This was a gift- recipient was really excited to receive and use.

Page after page of line drawings of ingredients. A 10 by 13 inch page with a blob in the middle. The blob represents what I think is supposed to be a Bon-Bon. Then a few labels tilling you where the center is and what the coating is. Then at the bottom of the page a couple lines of text telling you what you will need and how long it will take and more of that sort of thing. Then on the facing page large pictures of all the ingredients and equipment you will need. Yes if you are going to melt chocolate you will need a pan (every time). Finally at the bottom of the page you will find about 2 niches of text that tell's you how to make whatever the line drawing is supposed to represent. This goes on and on and on for about 70 pages.There is some variation. Some recipes are expanded to four full pages. The last one will be a full page photo of the finished product. And let's not forget the totally blank pages.There is little or know instruction or helpful tips on most pages (not all) that you will find useful. There is some but not much.Without all the childish drawings this book could fill maybe fifty pages. And be half the size it is.In short it is pre-tenches (this is the nicest thing I can say about it) and a wast of money. There are far better values out there.Hope this helps you avoid this monstrosity.Rodney Conrad

Fantastic coffee table book, or something to flip pages through. I honestly don’t have the time or patience to actually make any of the stuff in the book, but looking at all the beautiful pictures is just a calming and delightful experience. Plus the cover is whimsical yet sophisticated, great for decorating a creative space.
