By far, the best monitor in terms of Color, Refresh rate, FOV
I recently bought this and i have been using various monitors over years but this was just the perfect fit in terms of color, refresh rate and field of view (FOV) which are ideal for FPS games. Even the screen is not too big that you have to move ur head a lot and u have a perfect view of the screen with 21:9 aspect ratio. Highly recommend this screen for awesome gaming experience.

It’s a pain
When I first got it,I had to calibrate it and do a lot of different things to it.I have realised that there was a dead pixel(wasn’t a big deal considering it was not in the middle of the screen),I also realised that the monitor’s bottom frame was slightly bent.Nothing serious what so ever.Another problem was that it heated up extremely fast.It was very hot when you touched it after 2 hours of gaming. These were the cons that I have dealt with.As for the pros:165hz is so good compared to my old 60hz monitor. The 2K resolution was an upgrade from 1080p.

Great monitor
Absolutely un-matched for smooth high FPS gaming. If you're like me and you focus more on the performance of a game than it's appearance, this is perfect for you. The first time you watch something move across your screen at the full 360hz it feels uncanny. With such a high refresh rate, moving objects begin to have natural motion blur instead of faked blur. Being able to track something with your eyes and see it as you would a normal object feels surreal. Only minor complaint I have is that sometimes when my computer goes to sleep or shuts of the screen, the back light stays on. I've just gotten in the habit of shutting off the screen when I'm done, which is a good habit to have anyway.

Dont give it 1 Star Because YOU think its not worth it
As someone who plays competitive games this monitor is years ahead of any 240hz monitor and the difference is QUITE noticeable, there's one review written claiming "This monitor should be 700 dollars max right now, the difference between 240hz and this is not worth the extra 450+ dollars." he probably also states the 3090 is not worth it, he clearly lacks the info on who this monitor is made for, competitive gamers and PROS. I used the Asus vg259qm before this and i can easily notice the improvement asus has made in clarity/performance. The price is high when youre buying new gen and when you want the top performance. Is it worth it?> depends on what you value? its easily one of the best monitors for competitive gaming.NOT TO MENTION its absolutely gorgeous its calibrated better than my l27gl850, no blb, no dead pixels, the panel is perfect and that is also what youre paying fori really tried hard not to love this monitor and looked for any reason to return it.very very happy with my purchase.

A solid and reliable gaming monitor but not without it's quirks
This is the second one of these I have on a multi-monitor setup. Was very happy with the first one so got a second. There's definitely better gaming monitors out there, but ASUS has been my go-to brand for years and only once have I ever had technical issues with their products. Appreciate some reviewers have had bad experiences though with ASUS and with this monitor though.Picture quality is pretty crisp and clear. Some visual noise when watching films, particularly darker scenes. Unclear if that's the monitor or the streaming service. The 144Hz refresh rate makes it a good candidate for FPS gamers. Thin edges, about 5mm or so which works well on multi-monitor setups. I've had my first one of these for 2-3 years now and had no dead pixels, fade or other picture/screen issues.A few dislikes:- It can be set to 165Hz but, when I did that, the frame rate didn't seem as smooth to me so I've not used that mode since.- The crosshair overlay is a bit gimmicky. I've used it a little and didn't find it that useful. Besides, the crosshairs are massive and tend to be more of a distraction than a help.- Gaming monitors don't need built-in speakers, it's really not worth the trouble these days. This goes for most monitor brands who build gaming monitors. We've got speakers or headphones most of the time so, just ditch that extra weight and manufacturing cost and put it into something else.- I've not been able to configure them to switch from HDMI to Display Port and vice versa without me having to change it in the menu, even when there's only one device plugged in. I think I'm doing something wrong or that functionality is not supported.Regarding the seller, they've been very cooperative following an issue with the listing I noticed. It was labelled as "New" even though it turned up with an opened box to which the seller acknowledged they had opened it to check the screen and serial number. That said, if the product is "New" there is no reason to open the box and check the screen. The screen would be covered by warranty should there be an issue. And as for the serial number, not sure why the seller needs it but it's on the box label. No need to open the box to get it.As mentioned, they've been very cooperative, but I would be a little reluctant to purchase from them again.

Very Pleased w/ the PG27VQ Curved 27"
Review for the 27" Curved ASUS ROG Swift monitor (PG27VQ):I'm not a monitor "connoisseur" as it's not my expertise, but as a PC builder & gamer, this monitor is fantastic! I upgraded from a mid-range 120 hz flat screen 1080p Acer monitor to this gem; and while the improvement isn't leaps and bounds, it's certainly worth the upgrade.I received a perfectly working monitor - no dead pixels, no power problems, etc. Literally plug 'n play, a few color adjustments, and that was it.As for 'bleeding' - I don't think I have any. If I do it's minor and something like that doesn't bother me anyway. The stand is rock solid - made of metal w/ RGB lighting at base and back of monitor. Even has a 'light show' effect on back. Some questioned this since it's at the back and cannot be seen by user, but it's for those in a public / social event or if the monitor is NOT facing a wall; it's for the onlookers, not the user. It's not necessary, but I like it. And if someone doesn't, the lighting can be turned off.The stand sits a little too high for me and unfortunately there is no height adjustment (unless I overlooked it); but it's not a big deal. The viewing angle is fairly large and tolerant before the picture quality distorts. It can be tilted up/down along with a swivel action (left/right).As with any monitor, you'll need to play with the settings. The white and brightness of this thing was giving me a sun tan, but after some tweaking, the calibration is near perfect. Colors are vivid and there is no input lag (video lag) during gaming/video. Blacks (color) may be the only downside - it's a bit difficult to see in dark areas but not horrible.G-sync is great - another feature that was easy to setup - and increases overall graphics quality by a large margin. (G-sync requires an Nvidia card and DisplayPort cable to work, along with proper in-game settings.)The user interface for the monitor is easy to use, especially with the 5-way pin (whatever it's called) on the back to adjust settings. From now on, I will hate any monitor that doesn't have this 5-way pin - Asus spoiled me.27 inches is barely large enough for a curve to even matter, but matter it does! I'm glad I went with the curve. Some may ask, "Why didn't you go with a 4K monitor?" I wanted a gaming monitor and 4K just isn't worth it yet. For watching videos, sure, maybe; but not gaming. 2K resolution is a sweet spot: high resolution + high frame rates, which 4K cannot reach & maintain over 60 frames. On top of that, a beastly PC is required to maintain 4K resolution at 60+ frames. At that point, it's a gamble if a particular game is optimized well enough to allow for steady 120+ frames even when the technology reaches that point. Simply put, 4K gaming isn't ready yet. If you're planning on watching movies more often than playing games, then 4K might be your best bet, but not for me.Overall, very pleased with this purchase. I will update this review if needed.
