Worked on my first try!
I'm a newbie to all of this... what can I say, I got tired of paying for manicures and decided to do my own at home. I have the Gelish mini LED system, which I love, but I wanted to try a design. I heard that gel polish does not work well with designs, so here was what I did. Use gel foundation and 2-3 coats of your chosen color and cure as usual. Wipe off the tacky layer so your vinyl will stick. Put the vinyl down and press across nail evenly. I recommend trimming excess off end of nail and putting liquid latex on top for easy cleanup. Use a regular nail polish to fill in your design. I used the sponge technique and it gave me nice clean lines. (This is Color Club Halo Hues Harp on It. It's crazy pretty holographic and the photo does it no justice at all!) Immediately remove the vinyl. Wait for the regular nail polish to dry enough. (The sponge technique kept the excess polish to a minimum and was dry enough in 15 minutes.) Use your gel topcoat and cure as usual. I gave this accent nail two top coats just to be safe. Very happy with my first try results. I'll be ordering more vinyls from this company!

These were a bit expensive compared to other nail stencils ...
These were a bit expensive compared to other nail stencils I have used in the past. However, I think that they have been worthwhile so far. As a former nail technician, the quality of stencils is very important because the ones that don't stick properly will allow leakage undermeath, resulting in a smeary, messy look. These stick firmly to nails, give a crisp finish to the edges, and are so durable that I've used some of them on more than one nail. Despite the price, I had to give it five stars.

Too time intensive
While the stencils work well, it takes FOREVER for nails to be dry enough to remove stencils without removing nail polish. Will try them with shellac next

Good quality, but the price is a bit high.
Pros:Thick, heavy duty vinyls.Multiple uses per single vinyl.Nice patterns.Good adherence.Cons:You definitely need to remove some of the tackiness on these by placing them on a piece of cardboard or a nail mat before applying to the nails. They can sometimes leave glue residue if you do not.The X style vinyls are not good for short nails and can be difficult to place evenly on each nail.Price. You can get 12000 nail vinyls for like, $6 elsewhere on Amazon that includes way more designs, plus tips. I think I paid like, 13 dollars for these four sheets and one of the designs I can't even use until my nails grow out more, so I'm not impressed with the price point.

Great and pretty!
I haven't used many vinyls, but these are great. The pattern transferred nicely for me.They fairly larger than others I've gotten before: they could definitely fit a bigger nail than mine. They peeled off great and I even placed the one I used back onto my sheet to reuse again because it still has lots of stick, haha. Also got two bonus pairs of different vinyls, which are nice. BUT it says 16 stencils on the order, but I only received one sheet of 8? Not sure if there was a mistake, I really didn't notice the number before. Still, worth the price.

Extreme Waste of Money -- Save Your Cash & Dash Away From This Particular Product!
Because I'm blessed with fast growing natural nails, once I was turned on to the wraps, I was sold! These however were a SUPREME WASTE of Money!!!!There are other better quality vinyl wraps out there (HINT - stay away from the foil ones as well --- they don't adhere properly --- usually vinyls are good, but these are the exception.Immediately upon opening the pack, I requested a return. Going forward, I will go directly to the source.Don't waste your money on this --- unless you just want to give it away...then I suggest you donate the cash to your favorite charity.

Didn't stick
Tried these a couple of different ways and times and they wouldn't stick to my nail. I even kept a sticky base layer on my nail and it wouldn't stay down.

Love them!
I've left a few reviews on other nail vinals from What's up nails and I can't say enough how much I love these vinals! The Mermaid stencil was the first nail vinal I've ever tried. They were so easy to use! My nails came out beautiful. I need to add a picture of my nails as soon as I can. My Instagram is @Jessicaden if you want to see my nails done with the mermaid stencil!
