Miracle LEDYellow Bug Light MAX - Replaces 100W - A19 Outdoor Bulb for Porch and Patio - 2 Pack (606758)

Last year I purchased cheap "bug repellent" bulbs from a local farm/feed store. They worked great! Hardly ever had an issue with moths or clouds of gnats in the evening. Of course, they burned out... but being so pleased with the results I thought I'd go all in and get the "expensive" ones this year. What an absolute waste of money! I have huge clouds of little gnat size green bugs flying around my head as I try to walk through the carport. It's hard just to pass the light without inhaling or swallowing one. I'm completely disappointed!!!

Living in the Tampa Bay area we have always had an issue with bugs in and around the front carriage lights. I had tried CFL yellow and old school yellow bulbs with little to no success. Not only didn't the bugs care about the yellow lights, the stucco had become a late-night buffet bar for lizards. So, looking for some other option, I found these bulbs. I was very suspect of this product's claim and wasn't looking forward to hearing another "I told ya so..." from the better half if they didn't work as described. I was also replacing the motion detector carriage lights with basic on-off type light fixtures. It was good that I was installing new light fixtures as the two-level light setting for the motion detector caused the lights to flash on and off, back and forth (probably a setting or a sync I had messed up).....much to the amusement of my neighbor. As stated in other reviews, the bulbs do not have that much of a yellow color to them but the idea isn't about what WE can see but what the bugs CAN'T see.......and MUCH to my surprise they CAN'T see that frequency of light regardless of what WE see. I haven't seen ANY bugs flying around the lights at night, in July, with temps usually in the 80s. Before these bulbs, the same conditions would have produce a multitude of bugs, the lizard's buffet, and the crap they leave behind.Usually I am not one to review the products I've purchased through Amazon but I have to give this company credit. Their product, for me anyway, did exactly what they said it would do and did a great job of it! I had great luck with them, was pleasantly surprised in the performance, and would recommend to friends, family an neighbors.

Good luck convincing bugs this is a bug light. I got this to replace a yellow CFL bulb hoping it would be brighter. It's definitely bright, but I was surprised that the light it emitted looked like a regular incandescent bulb (in other words, not yellow at all). At first I thought, "Oh, okay, cool" and was happy about that, because I don't really like the way the yellow bulbs make my house look. But then every bug in the neighborhood started congregating on my door and coming in the house — moths, earwigs, spiders, flies, gnats, crane flies, even harvestmen (I've lived here four years and didn't even know we had harvestmen here!). What the...? That never happened with the yellow CFL bulb. Not only did it take a long time for these bulbs to arrive, but I paid more than $10 per bulb for the privilege of finding out they don't work. Another reviewer seems happy that even if they don't keep bugs away, at least they're bright; yes, they're bright, but if I just wanted bright, I could have bought a 100 or 150 watt incandescent bulb for less. What I wanted was a bulb that WOULDN'T ATTRACT BUGS. This is not that bulb. Very unhappy.

Well, what can I say? It's been just about one year to the day since I bought this product. I installed one bulb right away on our front porch where we keep the light on all night for almost every night. It truly works well, in being very bright for security and safety, and not attracting bugs. However, one year to the day and the bulb failed. Didn't get damaged, not loose, just no more light. The product description on the box and on Amazon states that it should last 20K hours, or 4-6 YEARS at 10 or 12 hours per day of use. Oops! Value for cost takes a nosedive. Another junk "Made in China" product? Perhaps. Unless the seller contacts me, there seems to be no recourse: too late to return it, and no company or warranty info that I can find. I've installed the second bulb on the front porch and will see how that goes. For what it's worth, I usually write on these "last forever" light bulbs the date of installation to see how long "forever" actually is. Be forewarned.

This is quite an expensive pair of bulbs! If they actually deterred bugs they would be worth it. But this first bulb I have been using does not. Also after 8 months of use it has burned out! Thus the LEDs from the dollar store are much better. The claim is that the estimated life hours for these bulbs is 20,000! We used our for 8 months, 12 hours a day, that is only about 2,880 hours! Very disappointing! And since it is in a hard place to change, it is also an inconvenience. OK, so I put in the second bulb of the pair; I will check back in in a year, or when it burns out, whichever is sooner. On the plus side, the golden color is nice.

Have 6 wall lanterns on 2 garages - I installed these light bulbs in all 6 lanterns and when I put them into use, I noticed a distinct difference in the color of these bulbs is inconsistent...some are quite white in color, while others of the same part number are a nice warn yellow/amber color,,,being fussy, I have had to replace at this time 3 of the 6 bulbs with 3 of the same part number bulb from my several orders of the "Miracle Bulb" to achieve a consistent yellow/amber color, so both lighted garages match in light color..I am now past the return window as I installed 6 new lanterns before using these bulbs, so I guess I may be stuck with 3 Yellow Miracle Bulbs that are white with a just barely noticable yellow tone ...have no place I will use these as they do not match other of the same bulb with the same specs and the same boxing with the same part number - they are NOT the same !

These bulbs dont last long. I purchased 8 of them and 1 of them has already burned out just a matter of a few months. Do not buy these. ***UPDATE*** I have had another one of these bulbs burn out. I converted my entire home over to LED bulbs and these are theonly two who have burned out.

So we live on a lake/river and regular bulbs attract bugs like crazy. I bought 2 of these about 3 years ago and the are completely the best things to not attract bugs. They are not perfect, a few bugs still are attracted, but about 100x less than white bulbs, and 2 to 5 x less than yellow bulbs. And they are not just regular “warm bulbs” like someone stated. The color is nice, not white, but not a hideous yellow either. I just bought 2 more for another application and they do actually work. For me I have tried everything and these are the only thing I can use.

The light is a warmer amber yellow, and not as bright as a regular LED or lightbulb - but it's a nice glow with amble light for the area. We put this on my patio right by the sliding doors where bugs used to gather and get in. Low and behold - it actually works quite well! Sure a fly or two still checks it out but there is no swarm anymore and I don't have to hear a zap sound like other big killers would give. These are great so far, it's been only a few days but I'm impressed. I would recommend it!

Correspond parfaitement à mes attentes. Quand elles sont éteintes elles sont blanche comme des ampoules régulières, et allumés elles deviennes jaune. C'est vraiment l'équivalent d'ampoules 100w. Elles éclaires très bien d'un beau jaune reposant et elles n'attires pas les insectes. Fonctionne parfaitement.

These are just as described - special yellow bug light - bulb is actually white on outside - yellow glow but no bugs come to it. Have it on front porch timer. Back porch as well. Not one bug flies at night by it. Truly a Miracle bug light. Love it.

J'ai acheté ces ampoules au LED principalement pour éloigner les insectes. Il y a encore des insectes mais moins qu'avec les ampoules blanches au LED.Je suis satisfaite de mon achat cependant, plusieurs globes sont arrivés écrasés, esthétiquement ce n'est pas très beau mais ils fonctionnaient quand même.
