Overpriced
Taste really odd.. and comparing the price with Canada which 19 Canadian dollars and here they’re selling it way too expensive for what it is

Completely worth its weight, and then some — to this newbie matcha drinker, anyway.
This is the first powder I’ve purchased. I chose it because the good reviews outweighed the bad, and because the value-for-weight was far higher than any others, so I figured, with my untested palate, maybe it would suit me fine. So, in terms of freshness, it came in vacuum-sealed bag, inside a tin. Vacuum-sealing is pretty effective, so I have no concerns about it not arriving fresh — the can has a BB date of June 2023, and the colour of the matcha was pale, but definitely green (not like some of the other reviews posting what looks like grey or yellow powder).Against some recommendations, I decided to try making a cup of tea with it, first. I didn’t have one of those bamboo whisks, but I managed a satisfying froth on my first try using the instructions on the can, plus one of those cheapo IKEA milk frothers, and a tiny little wire whisk to finish (although I’m fairly sure the last isn’t at all necessary). As for taste, well, I have some opinions/observations, but take them with a (figurative) grain of salt, since I am, as mentioned, a neophyte. So, matcha is a Japanese type of tea, and I’m much more familiar with Chinese teas, especially greens and puercha, which — I’ve read — have less “delicacy” and “sweetness” than Japanese teas, and are generally “bolder” (due to the leaves more typically being roasted, in China), as well more bitter (especially in regards to puercha, due to both the years-long aging process and the consequent need to be steeped longer). In any case, this matcha’s profile is absolutely reminiscent of a Chinese tea like longjingcha in its sweetness — a non-cloying reminder sits on my tongue even 15 minutes after tasting it.Unfortunately, or not, depending on your expectations, it also has a powerful bitterness reminiscent of the aged Chinese teas. I do not find it at all off-putting; others may. Finally, as to the question of whether this (culinary-grade) matcha can be enjoyed as a tea itself, and not merely an ingredient in other foods or drinks, I must address mouthfeel: I detected absolutely no grittiness or chalkiness whatsoever. Again, take that for what it is: a novice matcha drinker who hasn’t even tried other brands of culinary-grade matcha, let along ceremonial-grade. For all I know, this ain’t “smooth”, and when I try something higher quality my mind will be blown and my world will be shattered and rebuilt anew. But, for the new or less snobby dabbler in “tea craft”, it is absolutely sufficient, satisfying, enjoyable, usable.Oh, and affordable. Really, really affordable.

Amazing Matcha tea! I am impressed!
I only have great things to say about this Matcha tea! It’s 100% pure tea with no additives, organic, and very well-priced considering how concentrated it is. You don’t need much—just less than a full teaspoon is more than enough for me to make the perfect matcha latte! It will last a long time. It also came in a sealed pack inside the container to keep it fresh. 10/10!

Great Tasting- Especially for the Price
I've been looking for a good tasting but cheap matcha for a long time now and I'm glad to have finally found it. I was a bit hesitant because it's not ceremonial grade and references cooking and baking quite a bit on the packaging, but it tastes totally fine in my cold matcha lattes. I would say there is a slight bitter aftertaste, but I think it's a sacrifice for the price. Overall, would definitely recommend this to friends as an affordable matcha option.

Delicious & fair priced
This is by far my favorite match, I was buying Costco's for ages. I’ve noticed a significant increase in my energy levels and mental clarity since I started drinking it regularly. It also provides a calm, focused energy without the jitters commonly associated with coffee. The powder dissolves easily in water, creating a smooth, lump-free drink. The matcha comes in a resealable, airtight tin that preserves its freshness and protects it from light and moisture. The packaging is sleek and attractive, making it a great gift option for fellow tea enthusiasts. Its rich flavor, high quality, and impressive health benefits make it stand out among other matcha brands. If you’re looking to elevate your tea routine, this matcha is definitely worth trying.
