Bought for my 20month old boy. He currently is in 24month/ 2T clothes pretty average size head. I was worried about it being too big but is absolutely perfect size! I will note I like it is a little loose in picture I purposely don't tighten because it doesn't bug my son as much so he actually doesn't mind wearing it. I love that you don't have to use the face mask part of you don't want to, but my son actually keeps it covering his face and it keeps him nice and warm in Minnesota cold winters.

My daughter is the size of the average 4-5 yr old. Fits her great. Very warm.
