Which fractions are used in this game?

Unreduced fractions, reduced fractions, decimal conversion of fraction. Advanced play factors in tax and tips from 5% - 30%.

Would my homeschooled 6 and 8 year olds be able to play? We’re currently learning fractions, wondering if this would be too advanced?

We have lots of kids this age that play and really enjoy the game. I would recommend an adult playing with them for the first game or two to help them get the hang of it, and be sure to refer to the game play videos included on this product page before playing the first game. They may need some help adding up the pizza prices on the guest check score pad (whole pizzas are priced "monster unit currency" and include pizza prices that have .25, .50 and .75 decimal amounts), and they need some help figuring out how much each monster card can eat (they eat in simple fractions--like 1/6, 1/3, 1/2 etc. of a 12 piece pizza). There is also advanced play dealing in percentages that might be something you would incorporate at later ages (adding tax and tip to bills), but it's really meant to be something a parent can easily explain during play to ensure they learn the mathematical principals involved. There are also bonus games inside that are targeted toward younger players, so be sure to try those as well!
