Works great very sturdy

Just received my Toughbox today, so I can't give a long-term use type of review, but basically, it's not an Otterbox, but it's reeeeally close - for half the price. The rubbery outer case has pretty much the same feel as the OB, and fits about 97% as well. Like other reviewers, I think the weak point may ultimately be the holster. The belt clip has a slight wobble to it - just doesn't give me the confidence of the OB product. The phone is even harder to release from the holster than the Otterbox, which some may feel is an advantage. The good thing is that if this holster fails, I have a back-up OB holster. I don't use the hokey screen protector, and luckily, that came detached from the case. Bottom line - if you can't find an Otterbox for your phone, this is probably the next best thing, and if there's a spare OB holster in your dresser drawer - even better.

Fits like a glove, consequently its difficult to put on, but seems like it will do the job. Like that it has a screen protector as part of the case, no need to purchase separately. Since cell phones (which really don't work all that well as phones anymore) are more expensive than laptops today, a protective case is a must. We used to laugh a people who kept bag phones too long because they were so big, when cell phones were getting small enough to put in your pocket. Now cell phones are too big for your pocket too. If a smart phone was not required for work, I would never have one, I'm much happier with a good quality cell phone that actually works well as a phone and a laptop instead of all the smart phone apps. Because of the desire to be 'connected' every second of every day, we have sacrificed quality for alleged convenience. Bad trade, personally its nice to be out of touch, at least at times.

I got this for my husband. He loves it. I just recently forced him into a Galaxy S5 and once I put this case on it he loves it now. The case offers just the right amount of security against drops, dents and scratches without making it feel like you're carrying around a heavy brick or large billboard. Installation is easy and so is removal. The built in screen protector is great and means you never have to worry about bubbles, dust, scratches or it lifting. It doesn't interfere with any of the buttons or the sound. I have had the same case for every smart phone I've had and have always loved it. I always order it with the phone. You will be glad you spent the money if you ever drop your phone. Since using this case I have never had to know the pain of picking up a dropped phone to find that ugly screen cracked into dozens of bits with the odd strips of lighting and the screen that no longer works. This case is worth every penny. The snap on carry clip is a great added bonus and easy to use.

It's a decent knockoff of the Otter Box defender.I removed the screen protector from this case, as well as my previous Otter Box, and this one was easier to remove.The rubber outter of this case doesn't seem as "grippy" as the Otter Box, which I think is a plus.While I think the case is comparable, the belt clip feels cheap. It's not an issue for me though, since I don't use it. My Otter Box clip didn't last long enough for me to get in the habit of actually using it.UPDATE: I ordered this case in September of 2017, and it's now July 2019.The rubber outer sleeve is cracked in a few places, the buttons on the side are worn, and recently, the cover for my headphone jack fell off...No complaints though, I consider it normal wear and tear, and I'm actually here to order another.

I loved it when I first got it, (2 months ago) i still really do, but the outer edges of the case are starting to bend out of shape and not adhere to hte form of the phone properly. Other than that, the case is sturdy and holds up to damage really well and is pretty similar to my old Otter box defender series case (which I had stolen with my old phone 2 months ago , hence the purchase of this case), but the material is a little less grippy . If you're short on cash and need a good phone protector case I'd recommend this, but if you've got 40 bucks to blow maybe get the otterbox defender series ? I don't regret the purchase at any rate, still glad to have it.

I've dropped my phone a lot, and I mean A LOT. This case has saved it so many times, and I super highly recommend it to any other clumsy people like myself. The front lip is raised pretty high and it comes with a built in screen protector - also really nice. One of the clips on the hard part of the case kind of broke while I was taking it off to replace the battery, but once it's all put back together it doesn't effect the integrity of the case as a whole.The color was great until the rubber part of the case started to stain from being in my pants pocket - but that's to be expected and no big deal.My only complaint about the case is there is an edge of the hard case around the charging port, which can kind of hurt if you put your pinky under your phone to support it while texting and what not.

I purchase this case to replace an old Otterbox Defender that turned 4 years old and was simply worn out, cracked and getting loose in it’s belt holder. I am simply amazed by the quality and toughness of this new case; its almost identical as the Otterbox Defender. My old Samsung S5 fits like a hand in a glove in it’s new case. It really feels like i have a new phone!*FYI: Otterbox has really poor customer service when it comes to warranty. They don’t carry older cases and they make everything possible to make sure Canadian customers can’t get replacement cases under warranty. On their web site you cant select anymore Samusung S5. They should at the very least offer their customers an option to honor their warranty. I won’t give them business anymore when i upgrade my next cell phone. ToughBox is my new option!

the case fits well to keep the phone snug and secure; the quality of the materials is not as high as the original Otterbox however it is lighter and still keeps my phone safe; whilst I like the included belt clip it would be more convenient if it had a cutout for the camera and rear speaker or if it was a little easier to unclip from the phone. Overall I am happy with the price I paid for a well fitting case that gives protection to my phone and screen

no where near as good as the Otter Box Defender which this product is trying to rip off. already the lens cover is badly scratched. plastic components are more fragile that Otter. Rubber is poor quality as well.
