The Laws Sketchbook for Nature Journaling Hardcover – March 1, 2016

This is a nice blank sketchbook to accompany the other book  Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journalin .There are 80 blank pages, some of which are toned. Right at the end are additional pages of short tips for nature journaling.Paper quality is good. Much like cartridge paper, a bit smooth. It can handle light washes. The toned pages are good for pencil shading. And you can open the pages flat which is great for drawing across double pages and scanning.Overall, the sketchbook looks good. I like the rounded edges, elastic band in front. The cover is white so if you want to draw something on it you can too. Pricing is quite reasonable when compared to other sketchbooks.

Nicely made sketchbook. Good size and good quality paper. There is even a reference section in the back. I love all of his work.

Nice quality sketchbook, including sepia toned section. The last section of the sketchbook offers helpful drawing suggestions from the inimitable John Muir Laws, amazing drawing teacher and naturalist.

The paper is sturdy enough to take a couple of watercolor washes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the drawing guideline pages in the back. I'm using it every week.

This book is chock a block full of information, inspiration and not least beautiful, coloured drawings. A really great find. Exellent value!

Good product, looks robust enough to withstand travels for a few weeks.

The rough white cover is too hard to keep clean. Also is high priced for a sketchbook. I guess I had higher expectations for the author.
