We finally got some composting bins for our yard, and I needed something to collect the kitchen scraps in. This one is perfect. It is quite small, but I think it will be enough since we empty it every couple of days. It has a beautiful blue color that perfectly matches our lower kitchen cabinets, but that actually turns out to matter less because I found that it is small enough to fit onto the inside of the door of our under-sink cabinet, despite our large garbage disposal. It comes with a hanger to do this (see photo). Since our kitchen is small, it's nice to be able to get it out of the way. It also comes with a clear plastic hanger that can be glued to surfaces, if that's what you would like to do. Furthermore, it has a detachable top on the rim of the can, which can hold a bag if you use one (we don't, since I never trust the "compostability" of bags in a home compost, and it's an extra cost). The lid fits tightly but is easy to remove. Highly recommend.

I have had other compost buckets. I had metal and ceramic so this time I wanted plastic. Easy to clean, lighter not heavy. This has a functional, tight fitting lid that keeps odors and bugs out. Its the perfect size for on the counter for a couple. If we had a family of 4, this may be too small. For the two of us its perfect ! Comes with mounting options and appears to be very well made. Im happy with this selection and would order it again.

We are a two person household in an apartment with a relatively small kitchen and no yard. Composting is now required in New York City. The bucket is small, but for us holds about 4 days of compostable items most days. It has a holder around the top edge that holds compostable bags in place, and the cover hooks onto the top edge for convenience when adding items. Because it is small, it attaches to the cupboard door under the sink near the top so it clears the cleaning products etc. stored under the sink. My only complaint is that there is no place to attach a small charcoal filter, so that odors are absorbed when open. Not a problem when the lid is on. It is easy to clean.

I love it.. I'm using it by hanging it on the bottom cabinet door in the kitchen. I bought the white one. I love the size bc I have a cat who thinks all smells need to be tend to, eaten n make a mess of.. love him.. the small size is good enough for one days smelly food to be collected n taken outside.. yes, everyday.. my house does not smell n the cat stays off the trash.I recommended this product if you are looking for something sturdy, compact, good enough to add to your kitchen. If you would like to hide it.. you can always place it on the inside of the door... it's that small. It will also sit on the counter for quick access too. Oh! Clean up is a breeze too.I really like my purchase.

Very handy and easy design, compact but holds daily scraps or small recycling ♻️ very functional. I have more room in my kitchen after moving my 13 gal stainless steel step levered to the garage. Has a rim to fit over trash bin liner lid can connect to lift or remove easily. Cute enough for counter but more than convenient under sink. Smart design and durability.

Works pretty well. Small size but large enough to be useful for what I need.8 months in it has developed a permanent stink that no amount of cleaning and sanitizing can eliminate so opening it to drop things in is awful.Possibly needed liners that I was unaware of.

I got this because I've been embattled in an off-and-on war with fruit flies that live somewhere near my condo complex because even when there's nothing in there, they'll come back when there is. My thinking: they've got to be capable of smelling things much further away than I realized, because I had already started bagging up all my food trash and storing fruits I might normally leave out inside of sealable containers. What I then found, was that they'll even go after that weird little pad that sits between the styrofoam and meat you purchase at the market, so I decided I needed to upgrade my seals on my trash. No way I was gonna let these sneaky little dbags win.I ordered a separate trash can much bigger than this 3L for the main one, and also this one to keep food trash in. I like to put a produce bag from the store in it to line it and make it easier to empty and drastically reduces the frequency with which one needs to clean, which fits well and is thin enough such that it maintains a tight seal that evidently keeps smells from getting out, because I haven't seen any of those little turds in weeks :] To be clear: it doesn't click shut or actually make a seal, but the cutting of the plastic is precise enough to trap odor perfectly. No regrets here and if something happens to it, I'll be right back here ordering another one to replace it.

Just what I needed for kitchen scrap composting. Only complaint is I wish it were a little bigger. Works perfect for collecting and disposing in the compost pile!
