Soothing and Reliable — But Not a Makeup Remover
I've been using the Cetaphil Hydrating Gentle Skin Cleanser (8 oz) for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm really happy with it. I have dry, sensitive skin, and most cleansers leave me feeling tight or flaky. This one doesn’t. It’s fragrance-free, non-foaming, and super gentle, which makes it perfect for morning and night routines.What I love most is how soft and hydrated my skin feels afterward. Even if I skip moisturizer (which I try not to), my skin doesn’t freak out. It doesn’t sting my eyes or cause redness, and it layers well under other products.That said, if you’re wearing makeup or sunscreen, this won’t cut it alone. It struggles to remove even tinted moisturizer or light mascara. I had to start double cleansing or using micellar water first.Also, while the newer formula with niacinamide and panthenol sounds great, I did patch test first because my skin can be reactive — thankfully no irritation, but I’ve read some people have had issues.
