This minnow trap compares favorably to several others I have purchased.
This minnow trap is similar to others I have ordered, but I would say the quality of the material was better than some others I have tried. They basically functioned the same, really the same design even, other than that it seemed like the folding process into a compact shape was really good, and that the quality of the material seemed sturdier. I would just rank this is a higher quality producer of this item than some others are. I did like the bright blue color better as well, but from a functional point of view, that doesn't do much; perhaps you can see it in deep water better. I would also note it came with a nice little fabric pouch that you could put the net back into when it is folded up. Overall, I'd say if you are going to buy one of these nets, it seems to be of decent quality, as this one compares favorably with 2 others I have used.

Good.
It gets the job done and is a little flimsy at times but pretty good

Unfortunately this is a fail
Update: Drasry has messaged me back to try to remedy the situation. Will update (for now I upped the star rating to 3 for customer care)I must say this is a cool idea but it's an absolute failure as a fish trap. The zippered construction is a failure the zipper literally broke on the first use. HORRIBLE. I ended up having to throw it away because the zipper broke and the zip ties that hold the trap net to the body broke. The trap literally collapsed and just is a hot mess. I just threw it away because the zipper broke and the trap broke on first use. So bad

Easy to use
My 12 year old bought this because he loves anything to do with fishing, and he put it together himself and uses it almost every time we fish.

Don’t Buy For the Real World
Was in the water for about an hour. A small turtle made its way inside the net, maybe 6-7in in length. I guess it got frustrated with the whole “I can’t breath thing” and chewed through the side before I could lift the trap out of the water to stop him. The net is a great idea and put together well but the material resembles something potatoes come in. It’s super cheap material and could easily rip on anything like a stick, rock, a dock, etc. You know, things that all nets would experience in the real world. Take 10$ more and buy something with a bit better quality.

It does what it says
Throw some expired toast or cheap dog kibble and toss it in. Has worked pretty well.Unfortunate consequences: so many openings let in so many things. A turtle got in it and stole it for a couple hours. Also had it taken over by bluegills (about 30 of them) taking advantage of the captive free meals. It's always fun pulling out out and seeing what ya got

It works!
I went fishing sat, brought it along. Now the river is 6' above flood stage so far from ideal. But we found a spot with a closed road where we could park, make a short walk to the waters edge.We set up on the bike path for solid footing and I put a ball of my cornmeal, oatmeal strawberry jello carp bait in the bait bag and threw it out in the shallows. The very top of the trap was peeking out.And with the trap we caught the only fish we caught all day. Was only a couple of 3" minnows. But I think it shows real potential. I need to do some experimenting with different baits. Like half a slice of bread, or some sardines packed in oil. Best of all might be the stuff that nightcrawlers are kept in.Overall I am very happy with mine. I did add a 20' piece of paracord with a snap on one end. So it is easy to secure to my chair/fishing bucket, etc. I think I'd like to add a chunk of lead to the bottom to help it land bottom side down. Perhaps a piece of pool noodle a foot above the trap so I can suspend it.Overall I'm tickled pink. Seems like it should last for years. Folds up to take up minimal space.

Worked perfectly
I have two exterior ponds with goldfish. I used this net to catch them from my smaller pond and bring them to the larger one for the winter. Some were very hard to see and catch newborns but the net did the trick!
