The Catholic Source Book

Born a cradle Catholic, andrecieved this book after being away from the church for some time. Excellent Book! Resource for all things Catholic in a beautiful, easy to read format. I bought two for my RCIA candidates. Not obsolete even if raise Cathilic....always somethingto learn!

This is a fantastic book. I had the first edition and unfortunately lost it but this book is filled with informationuseful for homilies, lectures, presentations or just for reading in bed or for anyone interested in Catholic facts,history or resources. Well put together with a tremendous amount of data. This belongs on the desk or coffeetable of every Catholic family.

This book contains all sorts of wonderful information that you can't find anywhere else (at least not in one place). It's fun just leafing through it and learning about stuff that you maybe never even wondered about before. Not particularly in-depth on any one topic, but it touches on a very wide range of topics in a very easy-to-find and easy-to-read manner. A good supplement to other references that might cover topics in additional detail. Highly recommended.

As a newly converted Catholic, this book has come in very handy with answering many questions I've had. From what certain symbols mean within the church, artwork, and architecture to how and why certain rituals occur. I'm somewhat of a trivia junky too and there are tons of little tidbits and snippets of facts throughout the book. It's broke down into each section which is easy to use for searching along with the extensive index. My favorite resource for my renewed faith!

Along with the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, this is the third book that EVERY household should have!! A GREAT RCIA gift!!! His other book, Catholic Scripture Book, is Also Fabulous!!

A revision of an earlier edition. Slightly different format. Otherwise, very valuable towards learning about the Catholic Faith. Very Highly Recommended.
