This thing is the single most cumbersome and poorly conceived piece of technology I've ever used in my life. It's three pieces, to start -- a transmitter, a receiver, and a lapel mic. Why they needed to make it a three piece deal is beyond me. An integrated lapel mic / receiver system would have been just fine, but no! They want to give you more options, as the receiver has a mic of its own, but all this does is create one more piece to fumble with.Second, they made it so that you have to insert a stupid effing pin into the transmitter to pair it with the receiver every time you plug the transmitter into your USB-C port on your phone. Seriously? Now it's four things to play with, and one that requires way too much fine motor skill.Third, it doesn't reliably work. The phone will tell you, when you boot up the video camera app, that audio is being routed from the bluetooth microphone, and it won't actually do it.Fourth, what the actual hell. How did someone actually release this thing to the market, and why can't I return it? It's completely useless to me, and I've already lost audio on multiple recordings that were vital to my social media marketing for my business. Beyond unhappy with this purchase.If they were to do it right, they would just have a receiver that paired direct with the bluetooth interface on the damn phone. The transmitter is the most offensive part in this operation. Why this is impossible lies so far beyond me, as it would simplify everything and make it so worth it.
