Platinum Pets Food & Water Heavy-Duty Feeding Mat, Black

I have three cats and needed some mats to put the food and water dishes on. These mats arrived quickly and the packaging was fine. These mats are about the size of a dining room place mat, although for my needs I wished they were a couple inches longer and wider. The lip on the mats does allow the food/water to remain on the mat and not scoot onto the floor. My cats like to bite food out of the bowl then chew it outside of their bowl so this helps pick up their left over food. The mat grips super well, which is good and bad. I find it collects alot of cat hair.. For me this product is just "OK" but I would recommend it to someone who has 2 or less animals with smallish feeding bowls.

The dog's water splashes out of his bowl every time he laps it up and it was starting to damage our hardwood floors. We got this mat and it keeps all the water spills on top of the rubber. I thought it was going to be a rigid mat, but it is actually quite thin rubber with a short rim all the way around. It was shipped to us rolled up but works great just the same.The rim truley helps keep the water and food particles on the mat instead of the floor. The only issue with it is that, since it's rubber, the dog hair on the floor gets stuck to it after a few days, so I have to pick it up and rinse it off, not that big of a deal though since it meets all of our needs.

This mat is a nice, heavy-duty weight... thicker than the ones our local pet store carries. The raised edges do a nice job of containing the food crumbs and water that is sloshed out of the bowl. Our puppy sniffed at it the first day, but since then has ignored it and hasn't had any interest in chewing on it, which is a huge plus.My only suggestion for improvement would be if it had some sort of "grippers" or texture on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. Maybe this isn't a problem for all dogs, but my Golden Retriever puppy tends to scoot the mat around as she eats. It still contains the mess, so it's not a huge issue, I guess I just expected that something this durable would stay in place a little more than it does.

This pet food mat works great! The rubber is very flexible so it keeps the mat from sliding on the floor. It's easy to rinse off too.The lip around the mat is perfect for containing the water that gets spilled/slurped around.My dog has a food and water bowl in the kitchen and before I got this the baseboard behind the bowls was always pretty gross looking from all the water the dog pushes out of the bowl. After getting this mat that has not been a problem at all.After a few months of using this, I decided to get a second one for outside.

I give this product 3 stars because of its appearance. It looks cheap and detracts from the appearance of my kitchen. I would like a mat that is plain black but looks more high quality than this one. Or perhaps a wood one that blends in with my hardwood floors. Something has to be better than the looks of this one.That said it has the raised edge which keeps spilled water and food contained which is nice. It is easy to clean by running under warm water with a little soap. I get bottled water delivery and my cat has figured out how to pull the dispenser down. I have put this under the dispenser to save the floors and this mat has come to the rescue.

I bought this mat to set my dog's water bowl on. My dog is a sloppy drinker and there was water getting on the baseboard, causing the paint to start peeling. This mat seems to be helping to contain the water spills, but it shows dried water spots and dog hair. Overall I am happy with the item, but the black color is not the best.

As advertised it's black, it's flexible, it sticks to the ground well, it has a small lip around the edge. Nice neural color depending on your decor. If you are a Goth just add a bit of tinfoil and a mirror ball and you're set. Couldn't give it five stars, just doesn't seem quite solid enough or something to deserve five stars, like maybe a bit too thin.

Does the job very well, and catches all the cat food my cats drop around the bowl. It lost 1 star because it says it is dishwasher proof (which it is), but it's not rigid, so awkward to put in the dishwasher, plus when I got it out after the cycle there were rings on it which I can't seem to wash out.

I needed a new cat food mat, and I could not find the right one in the stores, so I decided to look on Amazon. I found this particular pet food mat, and the price was pretty reasonable, so I purchased it. The black colour blends in with my floor, and the lip keeps in most of the spills. What I love most about it is that it is made of flexible rubber, so when emptying the mess into the trash, I can easily fold it so it all goes directly into the can. It cleans up very easily, as well. I definitely recommend this product!

I got sick and tired of stepping in unseen puddles on my kitchen floor and thought this would be a great solution.My dog has made the decision that when she drinks, she wants to lick the water up the side of the bowl and, in turn, stream it onto the kitchen floor. This works perfectly to contain those spills and stop soaking socks on the feet of our family members.

Good quality dog food mat with nice lip on it for spills. Perfect size to hold my dogs feeder.

A really nice sized mat that works well with "Platinum Pets" cat bowls.

Is nice and subtle.
