Q: what is the volume output of this pump for comparison purposes ?

Large volume. I have an outdoor pond that is about 10 feet wide and 15 feet long and 4 feet deep. I sunk a hose to the bottom of the pond and turned on the pump to keep the top of the pond free of ice. It creates waves on the top of the pond.
