I lost the key to the padlock at my self storage area
The place had to cut the one I paid for (with the lost key) when I rented the unit but I had purchased this one for another reason and not yet used it. I happen to have it with me that day as I had not taken it out of my car when it was delivered to the house. This is the exact same lock that was on my storage unit (not the same brand, but the same style of lock), so it worked perfectly. I have it locked on my self-storage unit and have kept one of the keys in a safe place so I if I lose the one on my keychain, I'll have a spare to open it! Good, sturdy lock.

Superb for PODS
We needed a lock on our POD. This lock works great. It's very sturdy, and came with 2 keys. Easy enough to open and close, very hard to pick or damage! I feel confident using this lock. Received quickly too.

Great disc lock for gates, storage lockers and more
This is a sturdy and well made lock, which will last you as long as you do some preliminary maintenance on it. On the back of the lock is a small hole. Put a drop or two of penetrating oil, or a small amount of powdered graphite in the hole. Let it set for a minute, and then insert your key in the lock and unlock and lock it a few times to get the oil or graphite distributed throughout the locking mechanism. Repeat this every 3 months (or less if you live in a wet climate) and the lock will not fail on you. I used 3-in-1 oil and the lock performs like a champ and has not failed me in the least. Another great feature is that when you have the lock in use, only an electric angle grinder will be able to cut the shackle. I made several attempts with three different size bolt cutters to cut the shackle off the hasp, and could not get a grip on it. Disc locks like this are perfect for securing storage units or other securing mechanisms that are outdoor and exposed since once you lock it, the shackle is not accessible. 5 Stars from us and we're ordering more. Time Will Tell
I'm in the process of moving and packing and needed locks for the shipping containers. For the price, they will work for what I need. They do open and close ok, but they just seem rather flimsy and weak. It rattles when shaken, more when in the unlocked position. Yeah, they look sturdy and hopefully they will be a deterrent for people wanting to get inside. If someone really wanted in, I can imagine that these wouldn't be a huge challenge. However, even with a much more expensive lock that really couldn't be defeated, the slider hasp on the door of the container is only so strong, so...my thought is that the lock is about as safe as the latch that it is holding the door shut. As for being weatherproof, it seems to be fine in above freezing weather, but I imagine that it would be a challenge to open if it was full of ice. The pack of four comes with four keys and all keys fit all locks. If you need more keys, it uses the same blank as a 'Master Lock' brand lock. I tried the trick of pulling the key that came with the lock part way out to open and they will not unlock. The key has to be fully in to open the lock. However, when I tried a key from a different lock, a Master Lock padlock, I was able to open this lock with the key partway in. Hopefully nobody else tries this. The key can only be removed from the lock when it is locked. I was hoping to reuse these for my new garage that I'm building at my new place, but I think I'll buy something a little more secure for that application.

Great item as a great price
Needed these for storage lockers and it was a great value for all 4 of them. Storage unit wanted to charge $20 a month (yep, per MONTH) for locks so, of course, I came straight to Amazon. This style is recommended for storage units as less easily broken into, and we are going to be several states away while things are in storage. I didn't want to have to worry about everything I own being in storage. Now I won't.

Quality lock, smooth operation.
Quality lock and works smoothly. I haven't tried to destroy it with a bolt cutter or saw; however, because of it's narrow throat I suspect it's very difficult to squeeze a bolt cutter onto the shackle.
