Top of the sock is gentle grip.
As advertised, these are gentle grip top but the remainder of the sock is not gentle grip. By the end of the day, I can see the marks from the sock around my ankle and definitely not around the top of the sock.

I like the socks but didn't expect there to be so much material on the inside as a result of all the stitching. The cuff is comfortable on the calves - no binding.

I also bought the purple stripes, which I love. Note that the polka dots have somewhat raised dots all over, bottom and top of foot, and up the leg. They don't bother me.

I ordered another set from this company in a different style. The socks are terrific. Non-binding -- leaves no marks!!

Zero or no grip. The socks drip down and slide.
The socks slide down. They do not grip period. This is not gentle grip....these are zero grip.
