Used initially as chair over toilet & now use as both a shower chair & toilet seat! Very comfortable & sturdy! I love mine!!!It’s adjustable in height so as my knees improved after bilateral knee replacement surgery, I could lower chair! Great just to sit on & do leg/knee exercises! Highly recommend for post op knee or hip replacement surgeries!! If I'd known the elevated over the toilet chair used in the rehab hospital was going to be so small & a lot of metal parts poking me, I would have bought the portable 3 in 1 chair before surgery! I'm 240lbs so wide rear end! Both chairs are plenty wide enough but the 3 in 1 portable one has arms that move up & down which you need when transferring from a wheelchair to the toilet! So buy the 3 in 1 portable one if you plan to have hip or both knees replaced at the same like as I did & you plan on going to a rehab hospital after surgery otherwise the one I did buy will do the trick once you get home! I love mine! I'm spoiled by how comfortable it is & large enough to sit comfortably & the padded arms are wonderful on your hands & help make it easier to stand up! I'm seriously thinking of getting a second one with the back rest to leave in my shower & keep using the one I have as my everyday toilet seat! The back is very comfortable! The front opening in the seat helps with cleaning yourself! It is very sturdy & is very steady to use as a toilet seat or shower chair! I highly recommend any of their products! Again, I love mine & has helped with my recovery!!

This commode is extremely sturdy, well made, fast shipping, and easy to assemble. My husband only weighs 240lbs so an 600lb commode sounds extreme, but he has to sit to urinate so this larger commode is perfect. We tried the 300lb commode but it is made mostly for a female anatomy, where a male has to do some extreme tucking to be able to use. One part came damaged and with no hassles at all, the company sent me out a replacement immediately. Worth 5 star all the way around.

Let's get the obvious thing out of the way: this thing is expensive for a no-frills (outside of the padded surfaces) bedside commode. As such, our expectations were very high, and to be blunt, this fell short of those expectations. The commode is very comfortable (says my dad whom it's for), very light, exceptionally easy to clean (including the seat), and works great as a shower seat. Some reviews also mentioned how great it is for us caretakers that the bucket slides out towards the rear instead of the front, and I'm totally on that bandwagon, also. No more asking my dad, "Did you poop?" And him responding, "I'm not sure." I just slide the bucket out and check without having to lift him up.Having said all of that, there are a few annoying issues with this commode that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. The frustrating thing is that none of these negatives would've cost anything extra in materials; they just required a little more forethought in design and testing.1. My dad is 5'4", and when he sits all the way back in the commode so that he can lean on the backrest, the tips of toes barely touch the carpet. This is with the commode set to its lowest height. If the chair had one more lower notch, this wouldn't be an issue2. The bucket doesn't slide forward far enough, so care has to be taken when my dad pees, otherwise he'll miss the bucket and wind up peeing on the carpet. This isn't as much of a problem when I'm present and can help him slide all the way back into the seat. But when he tries to use the commode by himself and isn't able to position himself all the way back, this accident can happen if he's not attentive to what he's doing. If the bucket was able to slide forward just another inch (or if the bucket had a little longer lip up front), this wouldn't be a problem3. This one is a safety issue, and it almost made me return this commode. When you're sitting on the commode and you lean back just a little too much, it will tip over. I've tested this myself, and it doesn't take any kind of exaggerated lean-back to make this happen. The problem is that the legs of the commode are almost, if not completely, vertical. All other commodes and shower seats my dad has used/owned have legs that angle slightly outward at the feet, giving them a lot of lateral and fore-aft stability. I was able to mitigate this issue by bolting in some L-braces to the rear legs, but this is an ugly hack and definitely shouldn't be needed for something in this price rangeWithout the above issues, I think this would be a 5+ star product. With them though, and considering its price point, I think 4.0 is a fair rating.

Loved the adjustable features! Seat was still pretty firm for my mom, but softer than most of them out there, and so worth the extra cost. A little softer cushion would make this product the best! We used without the back pad attached for more space.

I bought this commode thinking it would be just what I needed. I think the product is over-all good but for me it was over-all too big, too tall, too wide, the back support slants back so it's no support at all, the seat is not soft. The only reason I am writing a bad review is due to the company not paying for return postage. I was told that they would pay, all I had to do was show my postage receipt and they would reimburse me. I paid $115.00 for postage and now they will not honor that. Amazon will not honor it either.

I had gotten this Chair for My Mother as she's getting to the point where she needs just sometimes go to the bathroom and can't quite make it there in time. This is stays by her bedside and helps her still have some dignity.The toilet seat is actually really nice and a lot more comfortable than a standard toilet seat. She is a really able to slide from her bed into this and then back to her bed when she needs to. It was easy to install with no problems and everything went pretty smoothly. I see no downside to this chair and I spent a ton of time researching what to get her.If you want something of high quality and a very high level of comfort, you don't have to look any farther than this as this really does have everything you need. I'm glad my mom is happy with it and I am really glad that I haven't had to make any compromises with her Comfort level as that is what I was really worried about the most. I don't want her in any pain and this toilet is very pain free. I am entirely happy with this.
