I have the original pedal that came with the featherweight but it's a little tricky to control the speed so I ordered one that said it was compatible but I couldn't get it to plug into mine. I returned that one and ordered this one since there were a lot of great reviews and it works great. I really like it. It is a light weight foot (which most are). I wish they would add some weight to it so it doesn't shift around quick so much.I would recommend you give it a try.

I was very happy when I tried the plug on my machine and that it fits my 1947 singer machine. It was originally in a writing case but I took it out of it and made it portable. Now I can take it anywhere. My only reason for getting this one is that my best friend packed the other one away and I don't know where. So thus my reason for getting this one.

I found a featherweight sewing machine at a flea market for $20 - yes, $20 dollars - how about that? I didn't even know if it would work or if the motor was good - it was dirty and nasty looking but I figured I could re-sell it for at least $40 for parts if need be. I brought it home and plugged in the cord from my own featherweight and it worked! No problem at all! So I bought this Foot Control Pedal - now I have to clean up the machine, get it serviced and replace some minor parts. I'm so excited!

I recently bought a Singer Featherweight for my wife that had the old style foot control with just the big button. It was not the easiest thing to use to control the speed so I looked for something better. This was the one I decided to purchase for her. It arrived, and while the plug is a tight fit, it will connect. Once inserted fully, the foot control works great. We are saving the old foot to keep the antique value of the machine, but this one was so she could actually use the Featherweight for her quilting.

Bought this to replace a knee operated speed controller for what was originally my mom's 1948 model Singer 201-2 sewing machine. It fits and works great. My wife prefers the pedal operation to the knee operation. I sent in a "contact us" form on the seller's store website to inquire if this was the correct controller as there were conflicting answers as to whether this would work on a Singer 201-2. However, when the seller, ngosew, never responded to my inquiry, I took a chance, ordered this one, and it works great on our Singer 201-2.

Works with my singer 201-2! I bought my machine used, and it came with a random janky foot pedal but no power cord. (I had to unscrew the part where this plugs in and remove the other foot pedal).Speed control is decent but not perfect, I'm new to machine sewing so it also might be my lack of experience with foot pedals. I've find it's pretty easy to get the speed I want though I often go just a little faster than I want to.

The wiring to my Featherweight's foot control is looking pretty scary, so I replaced it with this one. It's a good fit and the machine is very responsive. I feel better using this new foot control. An electrical fire will suck all the fun out of your vintage sewing machine experience.

I bought this because the original pedal to my Singer 301A with the hard toe bit had overstayed its welcome. Had I known how much more comfortable this pedal would be, I’d have gotten a truckload of them years ago. Pedal connects well, works well and has saved me a lot of knee/foot pain from fighting with the OEM Singer one.

This arrived in a few weeks, and fits perfectly. I love love love it as it's much easier on your foot than the funny little square peg on the original. Also, where the cord fits the plug into the machine is much better quality than the original and very well made.

Good to have control my machine has variable speed now. The only bummer is it’s plastic
