Belkin 7.5w Wireless Valet Dock + Apple Watch + USB-A (Black)

I bought Belkin charger and paid a premium price because of the name, but the charger is horrible. It keeps making continous high pitch noise while charging. You cannot sit or sleep anywhere close to it, the high pitch noise is very loud. Check the reviews on Belkin website itself, many people have the same issue.

With the news that Apple had cancelled AirPower, I scoured Amazon for worthy alternatives. By far the best looking was Belkin's effort.; specifically the white model which seemed to match my bedside furniture perfectly. The price seemed ridiculous, but the dock looked great. I had no doubts that it would work fine and saw that it could be a purchase that would have everyday use for a very long time, and would look smart and inconspicuous when it wasn't in use. Indeed, I had no complaints when it first arrived. It was a doddle to set up and works great. It charges both the phone and watch, and there's a handy USB key which I plugged a (considerably cheaper) QI mat for my AirPods. Functional and neat-looking.HOWEVER.If you're going to pay a premium for a phone charging accessory, it's very likely that you've already paid a premium for a phone case. My iPhone X is housed in an official blue Apple leather case. After 1 week, my Belkin charger is now stained with markings from that case. These can't be removed. This is apparently what happens when two premium phone accessories combine with a tiny bit of heat.I would imagine that Belkin would place the blame at the company who manufactured the case. However, when that case is the premium offering from the same company who make the phone your dock is designed to charge, it becomes a little harder to accept. This flaw is obviously more obvious on the white dock, but I don't doubt that it's also a less visible "feature" of the black one.A big shame. I'd be a bit more forgiving if this wasn't for that price tag. 1 week in and I have a pretty unsightly dock by my bed that cost almost £150. Buyer beware.

So I have previously purchased both the lighting version and wireless pad version for my iPhone X.The lightning connection version is great, does exactly what its meant to do.The wireless pad version on the other hand should not be available for sale. I have bought two of these, both of them have the high pitched ringing issue that other people have reported. I have since returned them both for a refund. Its a shame as they do look nice, but I'm not paying money for a defective product.Belkin should really recall all these and fix the issue on a new batch. Shame on your Belkin as your quality is normally very good!

Easy to use, no set up required. Looks nice, at least I think so, the other half called it an eye sore. The thing that drops the stars completely is the fact that whenever the phone is docked, it makes a really loud high pitched noise so will never be able to use this at night.On day 4 of having this device, the wireless charging for the phone has packed in, watch still works but it has to go back.

UPDATE: worked fine for first few days, now it constantly unconnects from the phone and won’t consistently charge. Returned for a full refund. What a let down Belkin... 😕Perfect charging stand for my new iPhone 12 pro max! Charges perfectly well even through a Mous leather backed case! Well worth the money and the watch dock is also perfect and works well! Highly recommend for Apple users. I’ve always used belkin since they are reliable and their stuff lasts and doesn’t break down.

I tried some 'no make' docks first, and they were unreliable (having to remove and replace the phone multiple times before it would charge) and quite noisy for something on your bedside cabinet.This one, while more expensive, works a whole lot better. It still makes a tiny noise, but very, very quiet. And it charges the phone and the watch without any issue, never needing the device to be removed and replaced.it's a lot of money compared to the alternatives, but it is definitely worth the extra.
