First look, a good fit
While I am taller than is best for this chair, I need the capacity and expect with that to have durability. The back sits more upright than most and I like that., while reclining pretty low as the better ones do. It pushes into the reclining position easier than any other zero-gravity chair that I have owned or used. The locking mechanism is the most convenient, is more comfortable with the longer lever, and seems to lock into a more stable position than other chairs. It does take a little effort to get both locks fully secure. I had to wiggle a little to get the second lock secured., but once I knew it was easy. The cushion is a nice add, but it is not fabulous. Maybe I will like it better over time. The side table is small but fine for a drink and most phones. Maybe the biggest phones will not go into that rectangular pocket.

Better than the smaller ones
Roomy and comfortable, but the pad doesn't stay in position and the tie downs break easily. The position locks are good, much better than the cheaper recliners. It's moderately sturdy, but after repeated use the main hinge's hardware on the right hand side works loose, just like on cheaper recliners, and if you don't notice it and re-tighten, then the leverage on the hinge bends the bolt and trouble ensues. It would be nice if that bolt were reverse threaded.

Anything the ad says, think opposite. STAY AWAY
****2/7 UPDATE to the review below: these chairs are trash. I should have returned them. The arm portion of the frame one one has started to break. Of course my return window closed a week ago. I got them (spending what I thought was extra for quality) because they are advertised to hold up to 500 lbs and I'm a big guy...but not nearly that big. The marketing write up on this product is laughable and completely unethical. Not "oversized" and NOT "durable". The only reason I gave it one star is it won't let me do zero. What a joke.****Original review from December below:The chair is comfy but not nearly as comfy as advertised. I'm probably going to keep them because I don't feel like dealing with returns on these large items and they'll do, but they were advertised as "oversized" and they are definitely not. They ar narrower than my old regular sized chair. My arse barely fits. They seem sturdy with wide bars and hardware but time will tell. All in all overpriced since I paid the extra thinking I was getting a larger chair.

Well made and sturdy chair
This is a sturdy and well made chair. It is relatively big and wide. (Made to hold up to 300 pounds.) But if you are over weight you still find the width of it a little confining. I am about 250 lbs and I wanted a wide and sturdy chair. Two inches wider would have made it perfect. Pad it comes with is pretty thick and comfortable. I would say its a good value for the price. Can be a little stiff to fold when its brand new. My feet go past the bar for your feet so I added extra padding (Bubble wrap) for my legs to rest on when I am reclining all the way. It comes fully assembled. locks firmly under each arm rest for any position.

measurement on lower section is incorrect
I purchased this chair based on measurements provided. These are misleading, or just incorrect.I'm 6'4" and searched for months to find a chair to fit my body.As you can see from diagram, and pictures the 27inch measurement given is not 27in..It is 20 inches for lower leg portionThe 27 inch measured to arm rest pivot to foot.Disappointed to say the least.Quality is fine, good build, but not as advertised in measurements.

I think the 500 lb rating might be wrong!
The weight capacity says it is 500 lb. I am well under that weight but I wanted a sturdy chair. I was using it and reclined and resting when it gave way on both sides and dropped me onto the floor. I'm a big guy and around 400 lb. I believe that the weight capacity is not as much as they advertise. Also, the armrests are close enough together to be uncomfortable if you are large around the midsection and below. If you are in the 200 to 300 lb range then this would be a good chair for you. If you are larger than that or have big hips then this one may not be for you. It does come with a pad and it is definitely necessary or the chair would not be comfortable for anyone. Since it needs to be a sturdy chair, the support will not be comfortable without padding. I believe this product needs to be retested for those of large body types and reevaluated to what its weight capacity actually is. I will say it was easy to set up and it required no assembly. It did not come with any instructions so I needed to figure out how to recline and use the locking mechanism.

Great Zero Gravity Chair for a fair price. 5 Stars.
I have purchased multiple other zero gravity chairs (I use indoors and outdoors) just to relax. Two other brands i bought failed (including the Caravan Brand zero gravity chair that I paid $40 for a few years ago, it is now listed at $90. I am heavy (300 lbs)/6'1" tall. I shoudl have ordered the wider version of this chair (but I didn't realize until after I ordered I got the 24" width). However. it is sturdier then my other standard zero gravity chairs, the locking mechanism handle is easier to operate as well (which is important). Along the pad that comes with the chair (and beverage holder) it is a well worth the extra few dollars it cost from a zero gravity chair that doesn't come with a pad and is not as sturdy Another tip, for the leg rest bar, don't spend big bucks for the foam padding I have seen ($20. Get a foam pool noodle that has the hole in the middle (they cost around $2 to $3), slice the one side carefully of the pool noodle with a sharp blade/measure to size and slide on the foot rest bar.
