It has good price And good looking,but it is slightly weak

Looks good straight out of the box, fairly chunky appearance but should clear any controls underneath, includes a sticky back foam gasket. Note it doesn't say waterproof on the box, it is water resistant, In my opinion is will probably keep splashes off your stereo but very little else.The hinge has an ingenious spring mechanism inside (Well it would be if it actually worked, the tension is zero, I have tried increasing the tension myself and the spring bends, just lift it by hand), there is a flexible rubber gasket on the face which should not lose its shape easily due to it not actually touching the cover (not sealing) when closed!Not sure what is meant by a support shelf as this is just a cover although the picture on the box shows the twin control type mounting and the instructions show you what to cut away to turn it into a DIN type, mine came as the DIN type already. as mentioned rain and light splashing will probably not get in, and the final mount position for me will be stored under cover.

My brother also bought one of these covers but another brand it's way better quality wise, the door doesn't stay open so it's a pain changing the CD, so I installed it upside down so when you open the door at least it stays open, the rubber seal keeps falling out of it's groove, so al and all I won't be buying another of this brand.

Spring not strong enough to open it more that 1.5 inches.Instructions show cover opens 180 degrees, which it doesn't. max is 90 degrees.pontoon boat steering wheel is preventing it to open anyway, so need to be on your knees to change settings or insert a USB stickThe mounting screw holes are too much on the inside of the boat opening and nothing to attach too.

I ordered a black one. A white one came. There are a lot of fine scratches all over cover most likely from rattling around in packaging. I requested a refund. The open button hopefully isn't as delicate as it looks. Got a refund

This was a replacement for my original purchase which worked great until i personally broke it. However the new replacement will not snap closed .
