Positive Parenting: An Essential Guide

Excellent book. I am always cautious about parenting books and some of their hardline recipes for perfect parenting, but this book is no such thing. In fact, I can say that this book has helped me change my relationship with my young child literally overnight. After months reaching the end of my tether trying to employ all sorts of ‘behaviour managent’ techniques, this book led me to a sort of parenting epiphany. If you are willing to try to reprogramme our cultural conditioning about how to parent and follow the advice in this book, the results can be astounding. I never thought I could have the more calm and communicative relationship with my child that I do now. I really wish I had found this book earlier.

This book is a must have for any parent or parent to be. Wish I have had this long ago. Also good advice for parents who struggle in themselves with psychological factors form childhood.

This is the most amazing parenting book I’ve ever read. It was so good it was life changing for me. It helped me so much to change my behaviour in order to help my children behave better. This books helps connecting with the children and heals the parent-child relationship. Highly recommended. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have bought it 5 years ago when my firstborn was born.

After a stressful day with my children I always read a chapter of this book to help me to relflect and to set me in good stead for the following day

There are much better positive parenting books . Not to much help for me . Prefer much more examples how to use it in practice.
