Best value mixed media art paper
Fantastic value for money- the pages are thick and have great texture. Marker and water color don’t bleed through.Note: I wish there were perforations for clean tearing out, but I understand it’s meant to be a journal.

It is so hard to find a sketch book that is 100% cotton at a reasonable price.
Even though the paper is only 90 lbs but it is still better than 140 lb paper that is not 100% cotton for watercolour washes. I will buy this again.

Excelente calidad

The best watercolour sketchbook you can buy for this cost.
Awesome paper, I got this for watercolour (because it's cotton) and it handles water and pigment beautifully. It absorbs water at the same rate as my Paul Ruben mini watercolour sketchbook. This will definitely be my go to watercolour sketchbookEdit: after a while of using it, I found that it does have some problems for watercolour, because unlike the Strathmore mixed media art journal, the paper isn't sized. So it's better for using water based markers and then using a waterbrush with them, not good for washes. The finish is great for graphite and coloured pencils. All in all a lovely sketchbook, but I find that the art journal is just that much better because of the sizing.

As per expected
Havn't tried out yet but looks perfect for mixed media. Large A4, strong spiral bound and good hard cover. I will definately order it again. Delivety was fast too.

I find it too expensive for what it offers
After so many recommendations I've heard, I chose it as a studio sketchbook for detailed mixed media drawings, due to its large size.Fountain pens and fine-liners work well on this paper. Brush pens will leave smoother lines when applied slowly (and the tip is wet), but faster strokes will have a bit of texture on the edges. But if the brush is a bit on the dry side (as some brands tend to be), the lines appear faded/dull and grainy. This would not be my choice of paper for ink-heavy work. The paper buckles quite heavily under wet watercolor washes, and I wasn't able to flatten it fully afterwards. The paper soaks up water so it requires working fast in order to avoid hard edges. Layering works much better than on other mixed media sketchbooks I've tested, as the dry layers don't lift as much, but lifting paint on purpose is still pretty easy. I haven't noticed any pilling while scrubbing the paper, so at least that's the benefit of 100% cotton. It also doesn't rip when I peel the masking tape off, while the paper in Canson ArtBook Mixed Media book rips quite easily. The paper has a dense grainy tooth that accepts all dry media nicely. With color pencils the grain is pretty visible, unless you blend and burnish with lots of pressure. Some of it remains visible on dissolved watercolor pencils and crayons as well, even with lots of scrubbing. I haven't had this problem with their 400 series mixed media pads.In my opinion it's way too expensive to use for quick practice sketches – I can get cheaper sketchbooks that perform just as well. (Artway Enviro and Artway Studio are a great budget choice in UK & EU.)It doesn't suit my style of detailed mixed media artwork. The 100% cotton feature isn't doing anything for me, when the paper buckles like crazy. I'll stick with the heavyweight 400 series pads.
