HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Before I picked up this book, I knew it would be a difficult read. Any book surrounding the topics depression and anxiety is often quite heavy for me and I read with tears in my eyes.◇This book does a great job in highlighting the effects of depression. I didnt expect it to be so educational but it was. I admire Shaheen's confidence in writing this book. She does not hesitate in outlining her experience with depression which she has experienced for nearly 20 years. The pain is evident within these pages and I found myself crying when reading parts of her experience because the suffering was very much painful to read about.◇I have read many books on depression and despite that fact, I've realised that they all differ from one another. Even when people experience the same symptoms that often come with depression, their experience is anything but alike and this fact intrigues me which is why I will continue to read books surrounding this topic. No one's experience is the same which also makes depression that much harder to understand.◇Please note that if you intend on reading this book, it does cover sensitive topics such as suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety. The author does not shy away from detailing her experience so please keep this in mind.◇With that being said, I recommend this book to everyone. Whether you have experienced depression or want to know more about one's experience with depression, I truly believe this book is a great place to start.

Such an amazing book.
Hii.🤗I hope you all are doing good.I just finished to reading this book. Well, I’m not any book reviewer or some Instagram influencer and also I’m not getting paid from publisher or author to promote this book. I’m writing some best lines of this book, so that you all just can find out the beauty of this book. This book is not just ‘bout depression or stress. It’s also ‘bout, “Happiness is not a permanent thing. Just like everything else, happiness also comes and goes. Trying to be happy forever is like trying to stop water from slipping through your fingers. It’s not possible, and the only way forward is to realize and accept it.The only permanent fixture in life is Change.Change. Change. Change.”“You want to be happy because society has convinced you that so-called “normal “ people are happy all the time. You want to be happy because you want to fit in. And why should you fit into the parameters of some made-up definition of normalcy?‘You’re exhausted because you’re always pretending to be something you’re not. You’re constantly trying to reach this non-existent, ideal state of emotional well-being. It’s not real. You’re being set up to fail.’‘Take off the mask. You aren’t happy? Fine, you aren’t happy. One day you will be. And then you’ll be sad again. Accept that and stop wasting your energy chasing something that doesn’t exist. You can’t spend your life feeling bad about feeling bad’...As a reader, I suggest you all to read this amazing book.
