Good sound isolation for the price
I'm using this with a Sennheiser e835 and it fits perfectly. The sound isolation is remarkably good for such an inexpensive mount and the build quality seems pretty good. It came with a spare set of cords which is sensible. Now that I have lived with it for a while I wanted to post an update. I have it mounted to a small rig ballhead and that is on a King Joy mini tripod base sitting on my desk. To be fair this is a far from ideal situation; however it is what it is.I get excellent isolation from knocks and bangs on the desk so my typing doesn't transmit as thunder - only the clicking of the keys. However I get absolutely no isolation from the motor vibration from my backup drive. I don't hear the head noise - only a constant droning from the platter motor for as long as that is spinning. As a test I laid the microphone directly on the desk and get exactly the same level of sound. If this were an expensive Neumann mount I would be upset but, at this price point, I can't really complain. Just be aware that you may want to re-locate your backup drive to another surface if you use this mount!

Good, but be aware of the size - it's VERY tight for a Q2U
This is lightweight, sturdy, and provides good isolation. I like it.But, I don't like it a lot for one reason. It is sold as 'Shock Mount Mic Holder For Samson Q2U'That's my mic.The mic does fit. But it is VERY tight - this mic takes the mount to the absolute linit of its capacity. Therefore getting the mic into it is tricky. And the retractor clips are not as sturdy as the rest of the mount. Many times, they popped out of their holders when trying to open the clamp enough. I did get the mic in, but it was frustrating and I am concerned that repeated insertion/extraction may cause the clips to bend or break.

Really Is Simple AND Well Made
It is easy to place a hand held microphone in this well made supportive holder. They sent a couple of spare elastic bands also. It appears to be made of high quality metal and rubber parts. I have used scores of mic holders but this one is my favorite now. I use condenser mics and they need better isolation than others due to better sensitivity. I do mostly studio work so microphones have gentle care, but I think this would be great for road mics too.

Fits perfectly for ATR2100x and alike.
Fits perfectly with ATR2100Xusb. Make sure you hold clamps strong enough when ur sliding the mic into it. Ppl been complaining about scratches on their mics when putting it on, they just didn't opened the jaws enough. You can also remove the clamps after, looking good overall.
