This is my second Sizzix Big Shot in this size. It is portable, does not take much space and cuts dies from various manufacturers with ease if you use the various adapter shim plates. My first Sizzix machine lasted for nearly 14 years, with heavy use. The pressure rollers did not work as well anymore, so I am keeping that old machine for spare parts. The new machine has all the same features and I am confident that it will last for many years as well. Sizzix is a reputable company and their products are well-designed and a good investment if you are a crafter.

Helps a lot in school projects

I have had this machine for numerous months now with absolutely no issues. Best feature is folding it up for easy storage. I don't find it heavy when lifting but some may. Does all that the instructions says it will do. Great performer.

I had to replace my old Sussix Big shot about a month ago. My first one was worn out. This new model is sturdy. And I love how the platform and shims completely come off the machine. For those of you who have owned the old machine, you know how you would try to be cranking and then the platform would run into something. This platform is smaller and much easier to use. Thank you sissix for making this change .

This die cutter is very easy to use! It's great for larger die cuts! Folds up for easy storage. I've used it a lot and have had no issues with it at all! Compared many others and this was the best for the money!

I make a lot of the larger half-page A9 cards, and needed this is to emboss the whole front of the card. As with the standard 6" Big Shot, it is sturdy and well-built. The handle is easy to turn and it is a solid machine. Be aware, though, that additional 3" in width translates to a larger footprint, and the weight is definitely heavier than the standard 6" Big Shot. You will either have to leave it in a dedicated place for use, or be able to lift it from storage place to table.The rollers of the Big Shot Plus are larger and they do exert a lot of pressure. It is my understanding that this is hard on the small thin dies and may dull them. For this reason, I only use this machine for my larger embossing folders and larger dies that won't fit in the standard 6" Big Shot. Since I'm only using this as a supplemental machine, and not all the time, price was a large factor. I was fortunate to find it on sale here at 50% off, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it at full price just for part time use.
