I was hit by a truck 25 years ago.
I was hit by a truck when I was 17 years old. Among other injuries my right knee cap (patella) was crushed. I have only had 2/3 of knee cap and it reminds me everyday. I was on crutches for most of the 11th grade. I have been living with this pain for the last 25 years. Some days are worse then others, and those who are close to me know i don’t complain about the pain, but if I am then the pain is really bad. Every day, all day I have some sort of pain, lounging around makes it worse and a lot of times I have grab my leg and straighten it out because I can’t move my leg.I am telling you all this story so you know that the pain I have isn’t just “I’m getting old pain” although i am getting old and the pain is getting worse as I get older, I started looking for relief.First, I HATE pills and I refuse to take them and if i can I’ll avoid them. Maybe once a year the pains just so bad that I have to take something. I started looking into things that might help. I’ve done some research on the Copper Fit brace the technology makes sense but I was still skeptical but I got it and been wearing it for about 2 weeks now. I wore it the first day and My knee didn’t bother me, but I wasn’t ready to say it works. Wasn’t sure if it didn’t hurt or if something else hurt more and I just didn’t notice it. Like I said this is an everyday thing so it’s nothing for it to hurt and it’s just another normal part of my life. Over the a week or two I tried wearing it off and on to test it. I’m here to tell you that the days I wore it I didn’t have pain and the days I didn’t I had pain. Then yesterday happened and that was the deal sealer, nobody can deny when it gets cold joints start hurting. I wore the brace all day yesterday, when this cold front moved in I felt pain in hands and my left knee (which was injured when I was 14). There was absolutely NO PAIN in my right knee and I am completely sold on this product. If you are in pain and you are a skeptic like me, I’m telling you it’s worth trying it out. Yesterday was a big deal, having pain everyday of my life for almost half of my life, then to not have pain was amazing to me.I have to say it’s the best $15 I’ve ever spent.Only problem I had with it was getting it to stay in place. I am a guy who has a lot of hair and it seemed to fall down repeatedly. Because I am dedicated to finding relief and it wasn’t fair to just throw it to the side because it won’t stay in place, I shaved my leg where the brace will sit. Problem solved and it stays in place and I am SO GLAD I did that and gave this product a fighting chance. 😂 kids make fun of me for shaving my leg, and even more because I only shaved where the brace lays. Yes it looks funny especially because I have a lot of hair so it stands out like a sore thumb, but I’m not in pain so laugh all you want 😂.

A good brace but not sure about the copper compression.
So I purchased this item for my right knee due to pain I suffered when I was playing softball. I jammed my knee into the base while sliding and it hurt. After a few days of ice and anti inflamatories, I went to see the doctor and had some imaging done and was told i have some arthritis in the joint. Doc told me to get some therapy and a brace and see how that helps. I received this brace last week and it does a great job supporting the knee while I am wearing it and the pain does decrease but it is still there. This does not appear to be a curative feature for me and I really am not expecting it to do that. It is offering support and it is lessening my pain so that's the good part. I am giving this item a 4 because I am not sure if this item can only help me with the pain and support or would other braces to the same thing. Either way I have worn this for a week now. There is no copper smell from it. The Item itself does not have any body odor to it. But I am perplexed in the "copper tape" that one so prominently sees around the top and bottom of the knee. It feels like a tape, and I do not notice any other copper in the knee brace. The compression brace is a bit thicker then a nylon and has some stretch to it, so I am not sure how or where this copper is. I have yet to wash this brace but when i do it will be hand washed and hung to dry.

May want to go the next size larger
Item was too small, too tight above knee. Therefore, I recommend if ordering, go up a size even if your measure within the range listed for the correct fit.

Not a good product
First the good part: This brace is well constructed and the kinesio bands do provide some good support. Now the bad: It is a straight sleeve and does not accommodate for the knee bending, so it gets bunched up behind your knee. Plus the seam is rather stiff and runs down the back so it gets crunched up in there, too. Not comfortable at all. Then, the measurement guide is off. Whatever size you think you are based on how they tell you to measure your leg, add about 2 inches and then you'll be closer to the proper size range. Based on their guide I bought a medium and it barely fit. I probably would have been better with a large, and I am a thin person - 5'9" 145#. Last, the product packaging says if it's too loose or too tight you should "adjust it up or down a few inches." If you do this the kinesio bands are not even close to being in the proper position for the intended support and could actually aggravate your knee issue(s).. Overall I am very disappointed. In reality if the product doesn't function the way it is supposed to then it is of no value. I will be returning this. Found a great ACE adjustable knee brace for less than $20 and it is waaaay better.
