Perfect mini doughnuts baked easily
I saw this recommended on a cake group on FB and then read the reviews before purchasing. I bought the tin in size M and made perfect sized mini doughnuts so no idea how small they are in the mini tin but the tin is great quality and can tell it will last.The recipe included was easy to follow and as someone suggested in their review, I piped the mix into the tin, which was super fast and easy. I was a bit dubious of how easy they'd pop out without a proper cake release spray as the recipe advises to use vegetable spray (I have those 1cal ones for cooking already) but I followed it and they pop out very easily without sticking and do only take 6-7 minutes to bake.For my second batch I took out the nutmeg and used vanilla fudge Flavoured icing sugar (sugar and crumbs brand) instead of granulated sugar to go a little bit sweeter but the original recipe is great too. It's more a dough mix than cake so they taste great - like doughnuts without the grease. I checked what the UK equivalent to cake flour was and used 1 cup of plain flour but swapped 2tbsp for cornflour and worked fine.I dipped mine in melted chocolate and added a few sprinkles. The recipe makes 13-14 doughnuts and with how quick they bake I just left my extra dough in the piping bag. The first time I did try using all the dough in 12 doughnuts but then some were overfilled so looked like little mushrooms. Still tasted great though!I'd definitely recommend this tray for making your own mini doughnuts perfectly.
