I had a unique installation. I was installing a usb powered security camera inside a brick gate pedestal. Needed to connect to an existing 110V power outlet inside the pedestal. I cut the plug off the end of the USB hub socked and direct wired the AC cord to the hot and neutral screws on the side of the outlet. Then connected the micro USB cord to the camera. Everything was nice and neatly installed on the inside of the pedestal, so nothing was visible, except for the face of the camera. The product was EXACTLY what I needed. I was pleased to see that it was well made, not “cheaply made” like a lot of other products. I would highly recommend this product. It has a multitude of possible applications.

Purchased these to add ports for my couches. They work and the family loves them.

easy to install. nice look. only downside is it is a slow charger.

I was worried because another reviewer said that this only outputs to one port at a time. However THAT IS NOT TRUE. Both ports work at the same time. Their issue was probably due to the 600mA limit for both ports. You cannot charge two iPhones at 300mA each as they want to draw far more. Build quality is good. I took out the circuit board to have a peak and found it well built and the caps potted to prevent vibration.

This is an unusual design for a USB power outlet that will easily secure to a variety of computer and computer table surfaces, while being compact, so as not to take up a lot of precious space.
