Works as an urgent substitute for the huy fong Sriracha but tastes a bit sweeter. Some at home liked it though.

They may not have the trendiest label, but familiar quality and flavour of Tabasco's unmistakable
I'm ex-military -- grew up in a time when Tabasco was the only hot sauce save home-brew chili pepper water (Hawai'i). In mil, ate MREs with tiny bottles of McIlhenny's Tabasco Pepper Sauce, and big 12oz bottles on mess hall tables. Tabasco is a pepper sauce I grew up with, and thus imprinted deeply on. Later... esp due to being in the Army, grew to like other famous staple hot sauces, like Frank's RedHot, Cholula, Crystal, Huy Fong Sriracha (prior to the jalapeño scandal), and Tapatio. All have their time and place, and all are welcome on my table. But 'hot sauce' to me is still Tabasco. Now that the company's expanded into making their own versions of popular types like Sriracha... came across this Tabasco Sriracha. Now with Huy Fong basically imploding their market share for questionable reasons... wanted to try Tabasco's take on it... Now, I have two ratings: one for a fresh bottle of Tabasco Sriracha Sauce, and one for a bottle I'd forgotten in the back of shelf for months, unopened. The fresh sauce is bright, with that trademark Tabasco hit but more rounded and mild than the original 5oz-bottled sauce. Goes well on eggs, fried tofu, meats and veg, and in ramen, which is what I used Huy Fong's for. To me that extra tang from the Louisiana-developed original sauce really adds something to the balanced but much sweeter HF formula. I like it, and esp in soups, the heat hits earlier but plateaus sooner as well -- love it. Now that giving my money to Huy Fong's out of the question until they change their ways... I welcome putting a Tabasco version on my kitchen table. Now, have also recently tasted the older Tabasco Sriracha on the same foods -- and it's actually quite interesting how different it is from fresh. Not anywhere near sell-by date... but the darker sauce is still spicy, but more complex, more savoury -- gentle fermentation? Not sure, but the bottle's contents have already disappeared into my meals over the past month and half 😋 Point is, this is good sauce from jump, that ages in a tasty way -- of course don't let it sit *too* long, that's unsafe. But were pleasantly surprised at how the flavour just got better with time on the table -- money well spent. Easy five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A brilliant product
I've been a Tabasco fan for over 40 years and this new flavour bowled me over completely when my friend Chef Varun Inamdar sent me a bottle a couple of years ago. This is my go to chilli sauce ever since and honestly I think its better than most Thai Sriracha sauces I have tasted! I know this is blasphemy to many but honestly think this one is a major improvement! Don't just believe my word ... Try it and tell me :)
