most mask that says one size fit most does not fit a bigger face well; does this mask fit bigger faces?

The L/XL are definitely NOT XL, and questionably L. They are nice masks contoured to fit the face nicely. And fit my wife whom I'd consider in the S/M range. But my son had to cut the elastic strap off and said it fit better. I'd consider his head to be M. I bought them for myself and I can not use them. Even cutting the strap off didn't help me. Way to small. My head circumference is 22in or 56cm. Looking around the internet, I'd say that an average for Hat size is 22 to 24 inches for the L/XL range. And I can't imagine that Mask sizing should differentiate extremely from Hat sizes. Thus, in theory, these should have fitted me easily. So unless they were S/M that were mislabeled...
