Helped with my cDIFF episode
I had a bout with cDIFF due to an antibiotic given to deal with MRSA and was on Vanco for 2 weeks (These doctors don't warn you of the consequences and didn't recommend probiotics or florastor to start which cost me a 4k ER visit (after insurance) that would have used to cost $100...Thanks Obamacare!). The ID told me to take a probiotic and eat yogurt. Well within a week of being off the Vanco and eating more Chobani in a few weeks than I have probably eaten in my whole life and a cheap CVS probiotic that had one strain and low culture count, the diarrhea was returning as well as other wonderful symptoms of cDIFF. I did some research (Thank you to those that do objective reviews!) and found this product to be highly rated and reasonably priced. I also purchased (http://www.amazon.com/Multi-Strain-PROBIOTIC-InnovixLabs-Broad-Spectrum/dp/B00X4U2NDK?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2) and have used these in combination. I started taking each twice a day and started seeing benefits within a few days. After about 2 weeks. I backed down to 1 of each daily. With 2 each daily my poop was pretty good and with one I start to have some issues, so maybe I'm better on 2 a day. As we all know, we all respond differently to medications and dosage. In Any case, I would say this combination is effective against cDIFF and would wholeheartedly recommend the combination if you are going to be on any antibiotics that can effect your intestinal tract. Not going to call them miracle pills, but I think I do have a little more energy overall and have likely been fighting infections for a long time which take a toll on the body and immune system. For the price of doctor visits and ER visits these days, I would think this cheap insurance, especially if you have to be on a course of antibiotics. If you have digestive issues, I would also recommend giving this a try before going to the doctor....if it is going to help you, it would seem you should see benefits within a few days to a month.....if it doen't help, then you probably need to get help from a professional. I'm not a professional so like all doctor's say on their phone line: IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, THEN HANG UP AND DIAL 911 AND SADDLE YOURSELF WITH A 8K BILL (FOR 4 HOURS FOR A FEW BLOOD DRAWS AND TESTS, AN X-RAY, CHECK MY DIARRHEA FOR cDIFF AND 2 LITERS OF NORMAL SALINE TO HELP WITH DEHYDRATION) AND THOUSANDS FOR AN AMBULANCE RIDE (fortunately my wife was available so I didn't have to pay for an ambulance this time so I got a bargain this time):-) My bottle arrived with pills packed with a little cotton if I remember correctly. The pills are "chalky" so there might be a little powder residue in the bottle. Not a deal breaker in my book. Hopefully Amazon will have some sort of cooler service for the hot desert summer to keep these pills viable till I can get them in my fridge.

Here's to someday being a true omnivore again
I believe that all the antibiotics I was given as a kid and a poor diet later on in life have combined into a very real problem with my digestion. To try to alleviate problems, my doctor prescribed an enzyme to me and I decided to add probiotic foods to my diet after reading up about the GAPS diet. I wanted to see if it'd really make a difference or not for me. I generally stuck to milk kefir in this time (Lifeway), which is sold at the premium supermarkets and sometimes even Aldi, and is available at Costco. I also sometimes had kombucha, yogurt, and raw cheese. I noticed after a pretty aggressive regimen with kefir (it has 16 strains), I have been able to eat some of my trigger foods without as severe a repercussion as when I started this. Now keeping in mind I have already spent 6+ months consuming probiotic foods, so my gut has had time to take to introduced bacteria and become altered for the good... When I took the first pill after I got the bottle, I felt it working after 1-2 hours deep in my gut. I thought I was going to have explosive diarrhea with how much was going on, and truthfully, I have had that problem in the past with other products... but I didn't. It was just an urgency to go brought on by the probiotic, which makes sense since the majority of feces is dead bacteria and I'm trying to kill bad bacteria. Now I'm on day 5 and I still feel the difference from taking it, deep in my gut. My cravings are down. When I avoid foods that I am aware of my intolerance for, it reduces bloating, for the most part. I do sometimes have gassy moments if I eat anything starchy, but I'd probably have those anyway to some degree due to how bad my digestive system has gotten. I definitely have more bowel movements than before, which is good because I read that 3+ times per day is what we should be looking for. The smell is a bit more pungent than before, but human excrement is supposed to be the most potent of all excrement anyway. Eating more vegetables can help. I gave some to my roommate and he insists it doesn't do anything for him, but he also doesn't eat a healthy diet. He has many of the same problems I do with food allergens/intolerances, so hopefully continuing to take them will help, but if he fails to eat enough food for his body to function, I'm sure he will never see any results. He really won't see results if he continues to eat the things that he has intolerance for. This is the gentlest probiotic I've ever taken, so that might also account for his lack of reaction to it. Here's to someday being a true omnivore once again.

good product, some problems
The product itself actually gets five stars. However, this is the second time I purchased this, and the first time everything was fine. But this time, several of the pills were broken in the bottle. Since one of the reasons I purchased this probiotic is because they are enteric coated, broken pills nullify that. If pills are broken the next time I order them, I'm afraid I'll have to switch to another product. At about a dollar apiece the loss is too expensive to continue. update: I raised the stars because of the response from the company regarding my criticism. Also, after reading many of the reviews, I just don't know; they sound so scripted. I certainly haven't experienced any weight loss or extra energy or anything else. But I really am happy with the effects this has on my bowel movements (firmer, and cut incipient constipation in the bud, I have thyroid issues.). I can't see taking this every day, so maybe I'll cut down to every other day. I have tried another probiotic in place of this, and was not nearly as happy. This is all just so confusing.

Giving it a try (and note that it includes 14 of the 15 'superstrains' the 'Perfect Biotics' product includes, plus 12 more
Probiotics seem to be the latest thing in daily supplements recommended for improved health. I understand the concept, which is (and this is my own layman's way of stating it) to improve gut health by introducing supplementary bacteria that are intended to either replace bacteria that are somehow reduced over time, or add new bacteria that will improve the function of the gut and overall body health as a result. The concept makes sense to me and for that reason I decided to add probiotic supplements to my daily routine beginning just over three months ago. I selected this particular formulation for a couple of reasons: - it includes 26 different strains, and they are clearly identified on the labeling of the product. As I note in the title to this review, the 26 strains include 14 of the 15 strains that the 'Perfect Biotics' product includes (I determined this for myself by going through in detail the listing of strains included in both products). Perfect Biotics is a product that is sold from it's own website and not on Amazon, and it has a very interesting and convincing video presentation that explains the reasoning behind the product and how it was developed. I listened to the presentation with great interest and then compared the formulation of their (much more expensive) product with this Innovix product, and was pleased to see that, with the exception of only one strain (Lactobacillus bulgaricus), the Innovix product is more comprehensive. - it includes 10 billion CFU (30 billion at time of manufacture, and 10 billion guaranteed at expiration). This also compares favorably to the Perfect Biotics product, which also states that it contains 30 billion CFU's but does not clearly state whether that is at the time of manufacture or the minimum guaranteed amount by the time of expiration. - I have used other Innovix products prior to this probiotic, and I have the impression that this is a reliable and trustworthy company for this type of product. I do not claim to be able to report improvements in my own health as a result of taking this product (I began taking this multi-strain probiotic, along with Mood Probiotic also produced by Innovix, just about 3 months ago, and take one capsule of each every day). My philosophy is to take the combination of supplements that I can best determine is helpful to my overall health, and then take care of myself as well through good diet and lifestyle as much as possible and practical. I do feel that my overall health is very good, and to the extent that these capsules are contributing to my health, I am appreciative.
