This is a great electric Weedwhacker at a great price. My last one lasted about four years. Would definitely recommend the adjustable length and rotatable head for edging are really nice. There are plenty of aftermarket, generic batteries that are very cheap as well and they work perfectly fine. All in all I would recommend.

After years of using a corded weed wacker, I finally had enough the other day fumbling with a cord that kept falling out if you looked at it the wrong way and a spool feeder that always jammed. Man, why I didn't upgrade to this one sooner... I love the adjustability, the weight, the power and battery saving options, and the fact I'm not tethered to a (censored) extension cord! The first battery charge took several hours, but I was able to do the entire yard in one session once it was done. This thing handled Japanese knotweed with ease, which is an issue here. Other smaller weeds stood no chance either. And I'm not a tool savvy guy, but this was up and running in minutes once the battery was ready.

Pros Great product. Does a good job. Easy to handle. Bought for my wife to be able to use. I had another brand however too heavy and complicated for her to use. Replacement of nylon cords very easy and easy to order them on Amazon. Battery life is good for 20 V. Recommend getting a fast charge battery station. Cons The switch to operate went bad. Hard to open the unit to find the issue. It appeared the small limit switch not making contact. Was able to adjust to get it working again however the problem reoccured. To much trouble to replace, bought another as it was just out of 2 years warranty , (2 years & 6 months). Bought the same unit. To much trouble to try to get a warranty replacement.

Love this. Particularly the ability of it to edge with the same tool. I am only 5’3” and the other stringers are too long and difficult to use. This is perfect and lightweight for smaller women. It’s does a great job! Auto feed is a great feature.

love the size. it is fairly easy to handle. Not too heavy. Not for coarse brush

This is my second Black & Decker 20V Max, except this is 12', my original is 10". They work identical so easy to use.

Great item

I bought this to replace my very old LST120 weed eater. I already have a ton of B&D batteries and other tools (chainsaw, hedge trimmer, long reach pruner saw, drilles, saws, etc) and I liked some of the newer features/updates of this trimmer. Much like my older one, it is well balanced and has great adjustability, especially with the ability to use the wheeled edger mode. If it's anything like my old one, it should be very durable but with increased versatility. I find that the line feed on the B&D trimmers are second to none--no bumping whatsoever and they seem to feed out new line with great timing. Only issue my old one had was the 'nut' to tighten the shaft for length or edging cracked and so it wouldn't stay put anymore, but the new one is different and looks to be made of a better material, so I hope I won't have that issue.
