Good enough quality

I bought a pair of NUBWO U3 gaming headphones for about $18 each in 2018 after seeing a favorable write up online. My expectations were low due to the price point, but I was pleasantly surprised with the fit, sound quality and durability.The headphones were comfortable on my head and on the heads of my children ages 5-11. The sound was surprisingly good with decent bass in it. The mic is clear, although you can sometimes hear background noise. These aren't noise cancelling headphones, but they do a decent job of cutting out external noise.My son, who is now 7 1/2, is rough on electronics and his head set lasted almost 2 1/2 years without any issues. It started to short out by the plug in the last month, but honestly I was surprised they lasted this long. By comparison I bought LogiTech G933 gaming headphones for $100 and they broke in 3-4 months with me using them carefully.I just bought another pair today for $13 each. One to replace my son's headset and the second to put in the closet in case we need it.I'd recommend the NUBWO U3 at a higher price point based on quality, but for $13-18 it's an outright steal of a deal. I'd recommend them for all parents shopping for their kids or for any budget conscious gamers.

After the first year, the soft material that touches your ears decided it wanted to shed like a dog in summer, leaving charming little black flakes all over my ears and neck. A new fashion statement, perhaps?As for the microphone handle, it's got a flair for the dramatic. Drop it less than ten times from a mere 3 feet, and it goes all ‘diva’ on you, breaking off completely and rendering the mic utterly useless. Talk about overacting!The construction is as flimsy as a house of cards in a windstorm, and the plastic is about as cheap as it gets. If you're looking for a pair of headphones with a short lifespan and a penchant for self-destruction, these are perfect for you!
