Anchor Hocking 6 Cup True Seal Rectangular Food Storage Container, Teal

I decided to stop using plastic storage containers so tried this glass product. Very sturdy, works well, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and they look good. I ended up ordering more in different sizes.

After years of buying-using-tossing cheap plastic storage containers, I decided to upgrade to quality glass versions. I tried out a couple of different brands and lid types, and this one is the clear winner. OK for the freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, made of nice heavy glass with a one-piece lid that fits tight but is easy to remove. And it looks beautiful in the refrigerator or on the dining table!This round bowl is a good size for prepping ingredients for salads or snacks (photo below is an entire bag of baby carrots). I also like it for quickly microwaving vegetables for dinner---it holds enough food for several people, looks pretty to pass around the table, and stores any leftovers as well. I prefer this one-piece rubber lid to the "snap-on" style or the ones with a separate gasket; it's easier to open (and for lazy kids to close), and it's still airtight.I've had other Anchor Hocking glassware in the past, and the quality has always been consistently good. Yes, it seems a little pricey, but over the long haul it's worth the investment in my experience. I've already started buying the other sizes and shapes to slowly replace all my old containers. Eventually my refrigerator, freezer, and pantry might all look as beautiful as the modern homes I see in films and in magazines!

Used 3 of these containers to give away full of Christmas cookies. I like the round container to mix ingredients so that is good. I can mix, microwave and put in the fridge covered. They do take up space in cupboards because you can’t stack.

I love these containers, I've prepared my work lunches in them for about a year now and I just bought another 4. The lids peel off nicely and the glass is durable and scratch-resistant, superior to even higher-end plastics on the market. They're easy to clean and organize, as well.However, as some have stated, they're not leak-proof. I believe they're advertised as "leak resistant", which is an apt way to describe them. I'd never put a soup or anything in them, but chili's and the like are fine so long as it remains relatively upright. If you need to fill this with tomato bisque and slide it vertically into a bag, then this isn't the container for you. But they're great for pretty much everything else.
