Excellent for polishing clear coat. Ver little effort after sanding with 2000 grit

I used this on a white foam pad, after 3M 36060 on a lamb's wool pad to buff out single stage paint after sanding to 3000 grit. The 36060 didn't leave that much in swirl marks, but this did remove all the swirl marks and buffed the paint to a great shine. Also easy to wipe off and left no residue. A much better combo that Meguires 105 and 205, which doesn't buff out as well, left more scratches, and left a concrete-like residue.

After calling the customer support line I was referred to using the compounding 3M version which displays a circled "1" with a white dispensing cap. The results, as documented on AMZN, were terrific at eliminating oxidized paint on my vintage 1962 Corvette (painted fiberglass) with a light color. It took a few passes over the car cuz' I had let it sit for ~15 years. It left a very smoth finish and a great shine just from compounding! The same customer service agent also suggested at the time to use the Circled "2" product with the dark grey cap as a follow up product. This product is intended for use to remove all the fine sanding compound marks in the paint. Once again, I did multiple passes (2 passes on the side and 4 passes on the hood and trunk) cuz' I had done so many of the higher grit version. The shine, depth of color of the paint, along with the windshield / headlights and even the chrome improved beyond what I had already done - all aided by this low grit polishing product. I am n ow on to step 3 of the process and will order 3M Show Car PN#39026 for the final waxing / sealing / protection / detailing of the paint, chrome, windshield, etc. These 3M sequential building block products are terrific for my older technology paint and chrome for my ~60 year old vintage car ! I will post pics when I complete the Show Car product application. Thanks 3M !

This is the 3M polish product that all of after buffing job need it. This product that I have been used for over 20 year and never dispoint me to remove swirl mark and leave a mirror shine on the automotive paint surfact.

I've been using 3M compounds and waxes for many years and they have proven to amongst the better ones out there. At this price it was a very good deal as compared to what local shops sell it for, which is often above the 100.00 dollar range.

If you know what you're doing with this compound it works awesome, I've been using it for years & I swear by it to remove light hazing/scratching It wipes of easily with no greasy residue & leaves a nice shine, just give your paint a quick top wax & you're good to go
