The Daily Bible (NIV)

This is the best Bible in chronological order I have read so far. What a treat to read this everyday for the whole year. It is very precise and thorough. The Lord' s word emanates in every reading and there is so much to learn and apply in life. I highly recommend this Daily Bible to all who desire a closer relationship with God and who want to read through the Word for the whole year.

Each section is prefaced with a context summary, enabling readers to easily follow the text and place it within the events as they unfold. Really well done. Easily the best among 3 or 4 other versions I previously read.

I love the way the Bible is broken up and the daily reading doesn't feel too overwhelming. Excited for the New Year to start from the beginning!

I feel like I have done something by reading the Bible from beginning to end. It's easy to read when the whole thing is compiled into chronological order to help the flow of the narrative.

If you've never read the Bible from cover to cover, I HIGHLY suggest you use THIS Chronological Bible and start reading it as soon as it arrives. F LaGaard Smith does beautiful narrations before each segment to help the reader understand insightful background or other important detail that will help you understand what is happening or why something is happening. He does a great job of preparing the reader for what they are about to read. To me, this "The Daily Bible" tops my list as a Chronological Bible. It is a delight to read through the bible using THIS "The Daily Bible."

I love the way this book is set up. Daily readings they get you through the Bible in a year are set up in a chronological order. This makes reading the Bible almost like reading a novel. I also love the devotional insights that are given throughout to help you gain an even better understanding of what you are reading.

I did it. I finished the Bible. Mr. Smith’s notes helped me easily understand what each lesson was about. I will read this tome again in a few years. I will now move to a different year-long Bible study that centers on devotion and prayer. The length of each lesson was very comfortable to read. I must say the chronological order has us reading many family trees in a row! While that wasn’t fun, reading the rest of this precious ious book in chronological order helped my brain organize the history of our religion. That was a great blessing. Thank you very much.

Reading the Bible is supposed to be book by book, but sometimes I could get confused with somewhat similar stories appearing in different books. With this Daily Bible, now I can read in chronological order and similar events together. However, I think readers should first go through the Bible book by book to get the message of what God wants to tell us in that book and get a better perspective chronologically with the help of this Daily Bible.

I have always wanted to read the bible fromcover to cover. Many a New Year's resolution. With the normal formats, I would start in January but by mid-Feb I'm over it as some chapters are difficult to digest.This is different...it tells you the story as it happened ...gives narratives ....while still being able to read scriptures.Amazing! At age 51, I finally read the entire bible...it all makes sense now. I am leaving this review in November...I started reading this 1 Jan this year. I tell you I get distracted easily...I get bored...but I have persevered. That is something.Thanks to the authors who pulled this together. This has strengthened my faith and my relationship with our Heavenly Father. 😍

This is an excellent Bible for beginners and acceptable according to my Baptist Pastor. It is a wonderous read!

I believe this is the most understandable and well narrated version of God’s Word I have read. Thank you for providing us with an opportunity to come so an understanding of the Bible.
