Brilliant, mirror-finish nails and invisible cuticles
It's been years since I last buffed my nails, and I stopped using nail polish years ago, so when I found my old chamois nail buffer in a case I'd forgotten about, I thought I'd give it a try again. After checking out several other buffing cream reviews on Amazon, I decided on the Winning Nails buffing cream. I cleaned my old chamois with a damp cloth, and let it dry thoroughly. Then, following the suggestions given by the reviewer, "Groomed and Clean," I applied a tiny, very thin amount of the cream to each nail using a cotton swab. After the cream was completely dry and chalky-looking, I buffed my nails and was happily surprised at how super shiny they were, even days later. What I didn't realize until I re-read the instructions on the jar is that this cream is also a cuticle remover. So the next time I buffed my nails, I made sure to apply some of the cream to my cuticles as well, and followed the instructions to gently push them back with an orange stick, then buff nails as usual. Though I always keep my cuticles in good condition, this cream made them look even better, so now I have almost invisible cuticles, and nails with a mirror-bright shine. Another reason I chose this particular cream was its claims to help with vertical nail ridges, and I've just started developing some, so I'm hoping that over time, buffing with this cream will make them less visible..Even if I were still 20, the amount of cream in this jar would be an almost lifetime supply, so I'm using a cotton swab to apply it and keep it pristine, since it looks like even with weekly applications, it's going to last a very long time. Not sure why some reviewers claim this cream didn't work for them. If you've ever waxed a car or used a good furniture paste wax, the wax has to be allowed to dry completely to a matte finish before buffing in order to get that high shine. And when buffing nails, just like when waxing a car, real chamois gets the best results. When used correctly, this cream makes cuticles almost invisible and nails mirror-bright.

Groomed and Clean
I've tried other buffing cremes, but this is the one I like because it gives the best shine. It's a water-based paste with waxes, gentle abrasives, and detergent. It works rather like car wax. Dip one index finger in the jar (I've never tried the tube), and you should have enough to cover the nails on the other hand. Dip your other index finger in the jar and apply to the opposite nails. You should use a very small amount. You don't even need to see the whiteness of the product. All you need is a thin layer, which will dry quickly.I use a Flowery brand buffer that has the chamois secured with an elastic band. When the paste dries to a haze, buff gently. Do not press hard or go too fast. As the buffer lifts the paste from the nail, you will see shine. If you want more shine, you can repeat the process. Just make sure you use a teeny bit. If you lay it on thick, it will take a long time to dry, and will clog up your chamois. Try to keep the product off your cuticles, and do wash your hands after to remove any product that may be on your skin. The advantage of using the Flowery buffer is making replacement chamois. I found a large chamois in the automotive section at a dollar store. Using the chamois that came with the buffer as a template, I copied the shape many times onto the whole chamois, then cut it into pieces that fit my buffer perfectly. When your chamois starts getting clogged, flip it over and use the other side. Eventually the chamois will wear out and you'll need a new buffer, or need to replace the chamois. And trust me, this creme will outlast a lot of chamois.Make sure you replace the cap promptly and close it tightly. I've had this jar since February, 2011 and it's getting thick, but I still have probably another year's worth of use.I don't miss using nail polish. Buffing is faster, easier, cheaper, and you don't have to worry about getting color on your cuticles. No nasty smells from polish or remover. And this stuff works on toenails, too! It's also a nice grooming product for men. It really takes very little time to buff your nails, and it looks professional and sophisticated. You will not be disappointed with this buffing creme. You can get the creme and a buffer for the price of a haircut. Two wings up!

So nice to use this product.
It’s nice to use this old school nail buffing method to keep nails nice! Taking a break and give my nails the air and not bother with polish for a while.Gardening takes its toll even if I do my own manicure so if I buff with them with cream at night they shine and look nice but no need to polish!

Packaging was awful...
The product itself was fine, albeit a bit thick and messy as it came out of the jar. The real problem was attempting to open that same jar. It took me a solid 20 minutes to get the lid off. Twisting, turning, and running it under hot water: were incredibly frustrating! Decide if you want to be bothered with the packaging before ordering.
