Demolishing Supposed Bible Contradictions Volume 1

A good read, but over simplified.
Theologically speaking the points are addressed in an over assuming manner. Meaning, there is a sense of, "I'm right and you are wrong." As theologians this manner and/or style in addressing contradictions only mocks by assuming your presuppositions are always correct. There was "no" interaction with another's data and opinions. Therefore the arguments are one sided at best. Now, I understand the book is short, 141 pages, yet to address the opponents contradicts and not first explain their premise is very lopsided. Lastly, I teach and was planning on using this book, however if I do I will need to direct my students to other sources because this one leaves the reader wanting. As evangelicals, we must "fully" equip the next generation to address all matters respectfully.

Nice, level-headed information for evaluation
I haven't finished reading this yet, but so far I've appreciated that it presents the counter arguments as well in a pretty fair manner, along with the consensus from Biblical scholars - it doesn't just pointlessly blather rubbish to be brainwashed with. It recognizes both that we believe God's Word will be preserved, but also that the KJV is a translation and not the original.

Translations of the Bible are not necessarily completely true, the original Bible is the inspired Word of God
I am not impressed with the book Demolishing Supposed Bible Contradictions. The author argues that the Bible is the Word of God and without error. The problem to me is that the Bibles that are available to us are translated from earlier languages, and that at a minimum there is at least minor miss copying. So it is quite possible the original manuscript may be without error but where is or who has the original manuscript? The author used several different translations to prove that there are no inherent contradictions in the Bible, how many religious denominations use several different translations of the Bible to teach in? I also have an issue with the timeline of creation that was given on page 60; since no one living was present during the creation how can one be sure that a day and a night is 24 hours to God?I think the author did best when he made his arguments related to the Bible and not trying to use science to prove any of his points.

The Truth
Ken Ham answered every question concerning "does the Bible contradict itself." Many through the years have tried to prove that the Bible does contradict itself but when the Bible is studied and taught, it must be taught in total context of the writing of the Bible. Both in the Old Testament, it must be taught in context. Ken Ham does a masterful job of addressing those who wish to discredit the Bible but do not succeed. A great resource to answer questions concerning the Bible.

Great book
This book is a great tool and introduction to the subject. The book lays out each accused "contradiction" in simple enough terms for someone doesn't know Christ but legitimately wants to know more about the subject and complex enough to make educated christians think.

Theologically Solid
Once again AIG comes through with a helpful book to support the rock solid foundation of Scripture. I purchased this book with the curriculum guide for the AIG apologetics class and found them both to be very useful.

an answer to those doubts
This book gives a list of the most common assumed contradictions found in the Bible with answers for those who need help in answering attacks from people who try to defame the Bible in this way. It truly will give the reader ammo for when you find yourself in a position having to defend the truth of the word of God

Not heavy going but full of light
Enjoyed this book, it's not at all heavy going but is well researched and easy to follow. The authors have selected difficult passages and brought light to confusing areas. If you have an interest in apologetics you will enjoy this book. If you do not believe the bible I would challenge you to read this book and find the truth of scriptures.

but the book is a good one.
The book is clear in the explanations provided. There is only one of the explanations for the "supposed Contradictions" that I do not agree with. Also, a big flaw, they didn't include at the beginning a list of the verses being dealt with.I had to create the list myself. It is the only way, if one wants to quickly glance at a specific verse. In my view, that was a big oversight, but the book is a good one.
