If you need bomb-proof foul weather gear, you’ll have to spring for the Simms Pro-Dry stuff.
I bought these because everything “Simms Brand” I’ve ever owned has been exceptional in every way. Fit, finish, function, the Simms product managers have been killing it for years!I’m a professional freelance boat captain contracting vessel deliveries in North Pacific and Gulf of Alaska. I needed new “packable” foul weather gear for a recent sail boat delivery from Washington to Sitka Alaska.I bought the bibs and matching jacket and like usual, Simms nailed it with fit, form and function. Perfect for layering, and the neck doesn’t choke you out. The hood also fit well over hats etc, without blocking my side vision. No unnecessary extras either. Really really great fitting gear. My only issue is with respect to the “waterproof” aspects. When you travel 1000 miles by slow boat with an open cockpit in western BC and SE Alaska, you will get very wet and you will occasionally want to take a seat. I felt these bibs soaked through, and saturated my fleece under layer when seated. Thankfully the boat had a good dodger and bimini. They look and feel great, but if you need bomb proof water resistance, you’ll have to spring for the Pro-Dry stuff.. Needless to say, I have some buyers remorse. I’ll keep this stuff for spring and fall weather fishing in the skiff around Seattle.

Great lightweight bibs. Keep you bone dry and cool enough on hot summer rains 6
I fish a lot and I've had probably a dozen of top end rain bibs over thr years. So far these bibs have been some of my favorite especially for the price. Great summer bibs. Lightweight and breathable compared to cabelas/bass pro bibs I've owned. Easy to slip on. Straps are great. My only complaint is I wish they had a zippered chest pocket for your phone.

Meeting my high expectations.
Fit and finish are great. I’m 6’ 1”. 210lbs. 36” waist and 34” inseam. The size large bibs and jacket fit perfectly. Haven’t had a chance to rain test them yet. If they hold out the rain like I’m expecting them to, this would be a 5 star review. I was expecting basically a rain shell type thickness, but these are more substantial than that without being bulky. perfect for adding a mild layer underneath on cold days.EDIT: Spent an entire day in mild to moderate rain. Stayed dry and warm! Changed to 5 star...

Looks like excellent build quality, but didn’t fit well. Had to return.
I purchased these with the intent of using them as an outermost waterproof layer on an upcoming fishing trip to Canada. I intended to wear long johns, pants, shirt, sweatshirt underneath, and a waterproof coat on top. I stepped up a size to ensure I had enough room (to the largest size) and they were still quite snug in the crotch and around the thighs. Sitting down wasn’t comfortable and I felt like they could rip if I moved wrong. I ended up returning them and can’t fully comment on their quality for their intended purpose. These are well-reviewed on other sites, but since they didn’t fit well and I can’t buy a larger size, I have to go with a three star rating. Return process through Amazon (via Kohl’s) was quick and painless though.

Size is right
I’m 6’ 190lb and I carry around a little beer belly. They aren’t overly large and too long like my other pair. The quality is nice and the hand warming pockets are good with a little soft material inside. There’s a plier pocket and a single cargo pocket. I’m ok with that and don’t keep much if anything in them anyway. The material is nice and the buckles are nice. Also has a kill switch attachment built in that you can hang some little retractable braid scissors on and of course it’ll kill your boat if needed. I’m in east Texas so no need in insulated bibs…I can layer up if needed without feeling like the marshmallow man or I can throw them on for dewy wet mornings or in rain with my lightest summer gear on underneath. Good purchase that didn’t break the bank

Simms: all you need to know
Had a delay in shipping due to weather, but was kept notified, so that doesn't bother me. Took the bibs out on a maiden voyage, they came as described, kept me dry and warm on a 43° morning with moderate rain and 5-12mph winds. More comfortable than my huk nxt level all weathers hands down.

Great value for excellent rain gear
Great Pants that kept me warm for a week long fishing trip in Canada. Wind, rain, sleet and snow we saw it all. Layer with some underarmour or sweatpants and they are plenty warm. Nice fleece lined pockets to keep your digits warm on days when a jacket isn’t required.

Simms nothing but quality!!
I am in north Fl. and these are a staple for winter fishing.I use these to keep warm on long runs offshore and when its to rough to run outside they are great for running in the ditch.Easy on and off makes for a comfortable day on the water in dry clothes.
