Merrell Men's Sprint Blast Low-Top Trainers

Updated 22-Feb-15. Unfortunately a few weeks ago while tying up the shoes the lace cut through one of the eyelets. I contacted Amazon but since my purchase was over 12 months old they said they could not do anything. I then contacted Merrell.co.uk and they agreed to at least look at the shoes and potentially send a replacement pair if they felt it was a defect. To my great satisfaction they emailed today saying it was and are sending a replacement pair - my estimation of Merrell and their customer service is very high! While I think Amazon are great - I will definitely buy direct from them from now on.Had these 2 weeks now and very pleased with the quality of these shoes so far.Note: I am normally a size 9 but had to return them for a size 9.5 but as usual the amazon service was painless and fast to do that. Other people had mentioned that this is a general rule but I'm sure this is a personal thing because 9 was only just too small.

Fits like a glove, good real leather quality and construction. Moderately narrow, i belive not very welcoming or comfortable to wider feet. It is a nice looking shoe for everyday use offering above average comfort and support.The sole feels fine. Recommended.

Amazon frequently excell themselves with speedy order turnround and it seems to go unsung so I thought I would mention it: -. - There isn't a place to write up delivery TIME on feedback so I'm putting it here. - I chose free delivery and ordered on Wednesday morning (08:59 - 18/11/15) . - The email order confirmation forecasted delivery the following week on Wednesday 25/11... not bad for free delivery. - Then at 16:48 on 18/11 they advised the order had been despatched. - The carrier delivered on Thursday 19/11/15 at at 13:15 by a very wet driver (it was pouring despite which he was polite and cheerful!) - Wow. That's incredible isn't it?. - Never mind five stars. Fifty-five stars to Amazon.!Moving on to the product, I've had a pair of Merrell walking shoes that came from Costco about five years ago and I've worn them forever. They have honestly been the most comfortable shoes I've ever had and I loved them. I searched all the Merrell adverts and I just couldn't find a pair of SHOES, it seems that nowadays you have to buy trainers or nothing. I found these on an Amazon special at £44.00 (against the full price of £111) with a free delivery option and they looked okay with brown leather uppers etc.This is a very early review and I will update it later but I wanted to mention size first - and yes it really does matter! I saw a few postings where people suggested ordering the next size up and my old Merrell shoes were UK Size 11 - I normally take size 10 but they were too tight (fortunately in the Costco warehouse I could try them on). So I ordered these in 11's and on the first try they feel like a second skin - they really could have been tailor made. It's early days and I will update this review in a couple of weeks but I expect them to be nearly perfect based on past experienceAt this time I thoroughly recommend them - go ahead and BUY but if you haven't had this brand before, do order the next size up.Later... :-)

This is my second pair of Merrells; the first pair are still in use and have lasted almost 10 years - I looked after the original pair with constant (but not everyday use) and they proved to be by-far-and-away the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever owned (I'm over 60, so I have had lots of shoes!). The originals fit like a glove (so long as you go to the next size up), and always look smart, and attract admiring comments from the ladies! Mind you their colour scheme of mid brown with a taupe (light sand colour) "M" and lace-up "U" - unfortunately not available at present - is particularly pleasingly eye catching! The only other difference is that my originals were made in Vietnam and the new ones are made in China. I suspect that some of the materials inside the new shoes may have changed but otherwise (with the exclusion of worn out soles and heels on the originals, and the colour scheme) they seem identical and just as comfortable. Time will tell; however you and I may have to wait another 10 years to find out!

Merrell's have always been a good choice for me. This is the first pair I've purchased which have come up on the small side. I went for a size 10 even though I'm a 9.5 and they are still quite tight. Hopefully they will relax a bit over time. Comfortable, and excellent tread, but agree with others that the back seems to lift out of the heel a bit, even though they are snug fit. A strong leather style which, in my opinion goes well with jeans and comfortable enough to keep foot ache away for a long day (or evening) out.

I bought these as what seems to be the nearest equivalent to a brilliant pair of Merrells that I bought (nearly 10?) years ago, which are still in pretty good condition but with soles wearing down! I bought the same size and they fit, but this is size 12, rather than my usual size 11. The main differences from the previous pair, all downsides, are as follows.Around the ankle, the bottom of the dip either side of the ankle bone is the same height as before, but this rises to a much higher heel and a much higher lacing at the front. And my (I think normal) ankle bone on the inside is a very long way forward of the dip, so was at first slightly uncomfortable, but I expect that to settle in.More tiresomely, the higher lacing, with one more pair of holes, and flat rather than thick round laces, make them significantly more awkward to tie up. Pulling the laces tight takes several seconds longer.And in appearance the flat laces and higher lacing make them look like a cross between a casual shoe and a walking boot, rather than the previous cross, which I preferred, between casual shoe and light walking shoe. And, when new, the M logo on the sides was much more conspicuous, making them look a bit like trainers, but some dark tan shoe polish seems to have sorted that.Otherwise, all good: solidly made and warm and I expect them to be very comfortable.

Love the appearance and quality of the shoe and the material. They wear good but the right shoe turns over as you wear it more

Questa scarpa è eccezionale. Da quando ho trovato la marca Merrel ne ho già comprate tre paia (modelli diversi) e mi sono trovato benissimo. ATTENZIONE che vestono un po' piccole quindi prendete un numero superiore alla vostra taglia abituale.

Ich trage die Sprint Blast Modelle seit nunmehr rund 8 Jahren und das ständig. Bequemere Schuhe kenne ich nicht. Das Leder ist super, die Passform grandios und man läuft darin wie auf Wolken. Nach etwas über einem Jahr ist regelmäßig das Leder auf der Innenseite der Ferse durch - der Schuster meines Vertrauens kennt meine Merrells inzwischen und näht dann für 7,- Euro ein neues Stück Leder ein. Nach gut 2 Jahren sind die Sohlen dann abgelaufen und ein neues Paar muss her.Inzwischen tragen sie auch meine Eltern und sind ebenfalls begeistert. Also - je nach Design - absolut generationsübergreifend.Amazon Service wie gewohnt prompt und gut.

No tengo pies, tengo una especie de aletas de hombre rana: bastante anchos y con un puente digno de Calatrava. No es una forma muy común y la mayor parte del calzado me molesta muchísimo en el empeine o en los laterales delanteros, pero desde que me probé mis primeras Merrell he disfrutado de calzado sin problemas. De hecho es la única marca que me permite estrenar calzado sin disfrutar de unas estupendas rozaduras.Estas zapatillas no son la excepción, y pese a ser algo más "afiladas" siguen resultando cómodas para un uso diario.Son cómodas, tienen un aspecto moderno y bastante "casual". Están muy bien acabadas y su suela es muy confortable.Me resulta bastante complicado encontrar esta marca en tiendas físicas en España y cuando lo hago suelen tener sobreprecio, gracias a Amazon puedo conseguir mi marca favorita a un precio razonable.

Che le Sprint Blast siano tra le sneaker più comode e meglio costruite del mercato non è un mistero, ma anche questa volta non posso che ribadire il concetto. Perfette, avvolgono il piede morbide e calde, come ogni articolo di pelle con l'uso assumono un'aspetto vintage molto accattivante e capace di unire sportività ed eleganza.Ne ho già prese di quelle scamosciate che certamente sono ancora più morbide ma anche in questa versione in pelle conciata mantengono inconfondibile il loro stile. Le consiglio.
