I bought this adapter, hoping to be able to connect my phone's music player to the car so I could enjoy Spotify in my 2011 Mercedes GL450, and it worked. The instructions were not clear so I want to write here what I did to get it to work. I plugged the adapter into the media plug in the car and the bluetooth adapter powered up. I searched for it and found it under the name "shuguo2007". I paired the phone with it but at that point I couldn't find out how to get the car to play the music I had started on the phone... After some frustration I found out that I needed to go to "Audio", "Media Interface" and select "Aux" and that was all. Now I can enjoy my music in the car without having to reload the memory card which I used to do before... I can't get this adapter to work with the telephone functions like answering and calling, so I set the bluetooth connection of the phone to only allow media connection to this adapter and I continue to use the built-in bluetooth of the Mercedes for the calls as I did before... Just make sure that bluetooth connection is set to calls only (not media) in the phone, assuming your phone can do more than one bluetooth connections at the same time. The sound quality is excellent and all fine, so I can really recommend this adapter for your MErcedes, as long as it has the media connector. Mine is located in the "ceiling" of the glove compartment...
