I like it so far - future updates to come. (My unboxing experience)
**** UPDATE ****The durability of this mat is superb. I have used this mat almost every day since purchase as I use it for my home office. I can confidently say that I’ll probably be using this mat for many more years to come. Worth every penny.*This review will be updated in the future after I can assess the durability over a longer length of time.*Is it annoying to unroll? Yep. Does it have a terrible smell when you first open the box? Yep... those are probably where the issues end.UNROLLING THR MAT IS A 2 PERSON JOB, I CUT MYSELF ON THE MAT SO PLEASE GET A SECOND HAND LIKE I ENDED UP DOING. I live in Texas and have the benefit of being able to put the mat outside in the heat. This greatly reduced the amount of time it took for the mat to become straight. The whole unboxing to straightening out the mat took about three hours. I assume it might take longer if you straighten the mat inside or if you were in a cooler climate. It’s extremely durable and easily the most sturdy office mat I’ve bought. I was really tired with lesser quality mats always tearing/cracking over time. HOPEFULLY this mat won’t suffer the same fate as previous office mats I’ve owned.

Very Good Quality, But Hard to Get Rolled Out
This mat seems to be of good quality. However, it's alot of work to get unrolled (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). I would suggest that two people do it together. In order to get mine unrolled, (this is in the directions that come with it if you can get to them, as they are rolled into the mat!) I used a hairdryer with a large diffuser attachment on the end, and put it in the middle of the rolled up mat (laid out on the floor), blowing hot air down it's center for about 20 minutes or so. Then I began unrolling it, still using the hairdryer, this time with a concentrator attachment, to heat it as I unrolled it. I did it alone and I got a good workout! After is was relatively flat, I put weights on it, and buckets of water until I was satisfied with how flat it was. Since this was for home use, I let it sit out on my tile floor for a couple of days with the weight on it, and it wasn't inconvenient (that probably would be less convenient in an office setting). In order to put it the space where it would be used, it required me to cut a corner off. The quality of the plastic definitely showed, because cutting it was EXTREMELY difficult. I especially like the fact that when working with it I wasn't getting poked since this uses a flat cleat to hold it in place on your carpet. After installing it, the only thing I don't like about it, is it has developed indentations where my chair wheels sit, and I have to "fight" to keep my chair from rolling into those low spots, if I want to move to a different, location (sometimes I want to be closer to my computer screen). I would recommend this MADE IN THE U.S.A product!

How about a warning AMAZON?
EDIT: I'm going to edit my review and add this. This chair mat is extremely durable. It's still a HUGE PAIN to flatten but once you get it, the mat is very good. I've been using it for about a year and a half and there's no cracks or significant dents. I weight over 200 lbs and use my computer daily. Can we get some sort of warning on this chair mat about how much work it takes to get from rolled to flat? Sounds like some people had it alright in warm climates where they can just put it outside or in the sun. God forbid you order this chair mat in the winter time or have a colder house (Colorado in February here). I couldn't even get the mat to unroll without a heat gun and the mat itself was not even cold. The directions which are inside the roll mind you (you cant get them without unrolling it) tell you to let the roll sit for 24 hours prior to trying to unroll it! What is going on here? This is a project! This mat is large and heavy and I've spent an hour with a heat gun and it's still not flat, it's all wavy. I'm going to give the mat a day to sit to hopefully get flat. I won't return it, that would be the same amount of trouble in reverse and not worth it because I have it mostly flat at this point. Feels like a bait and switch to me. Give us the normal price without all the effort or let us know how much trouble we're getting into. I wish Office Depot would have had the right size, I would have just picked it up there and would have avoided all this trouble.AMAZON, PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR THIS IS A PROJECT TO GET THIS ITEM TO WORKING CONDITION!!

Only problem is it doesn't stay in place.
Use is for home. Put on carpet. Replaced old pad for new one. only problem is it will not stay in place. I have to keep moving it in place. Will write more when I have had it for awhile.

Be prepared to sink into your carpet
I weigh 140lb, this mat leaves divots where I am sitting so my office chair keeps sinking into the same spot. My carpet is not even 1" thick like it says it's ready for. It's not cracked yet after 2 weeks of use, so at least there's that.Spend the extra money on a heavy-duty glass mat if you have a high pile carpet. This item isn't the solution.

Very difficult to unroll
My old chair mat was completely cracked and needed replacement, so ordered this one. I went with the suggestion to order a heavier mat since I spend 8+ hours a day in my chair and am 200+ lbs. I will update this review over time to see how durable it is and if it lives up to the "No crack" warranty. The mat definitely feels like a heavier grade unit that is built to last. One thing that I definitely wanted to mention is how difficult it was to unroll. It came in a rectangular box and was rolled up pretty tight. Per the instructions, I let it sit for 24hrs to warm up to room temperature and that made NO difference. It was still very difficult to unroll. It took me several days using heavy furniture and barbell weights to hold it in place and completely unroll. Even after several weeks the lip is curled slight inward. Nov-2021 update: No cracks on the mat after 1.5 years of usage. Jan-2023 update: Still no cracks and no issues after nearly 3 years of use.

Great mat, super solid.
Surprisingly thick mat. Having a hard time finding the right thing at the local stationary stores (wrong sizes, teeth length, thickness etc). Found this mat online, decently big (although I could have used a bit bigger). It's pretty solid. I have my desk sitting on it, so it doesn't budge. Indentation is minimal from the chair wheels, even on fairly plush carpet.Downside is it was ridiculously difficult to flatten out. It was also fairly difficult to unroll the first time. I'm fit, but I'm no muscle builder, and it proved to be a reasonable challenge to unroll, as it just didn't want to change shape permanently. Then as I slowly managed to unroll it, I had to immediately pile things on top of what I'd managed to unroll to prevent it from curling back up. After a few days of sitting in the living room with stuff piled on top of it, it still wanted to curl back up, but was flattened enough that I could put it in place. Once in place, the corners didn't flatten out for a good few weeks.

I can certainly see that this mat is built to ...
I can certainly see that this mat is built to not crack - it is thick and flexible BUT that means it dints in where your chair wheels are making it difficult to roll the chair. You need the strength of both your legs to move the chair once you've been in one spot for a couple of minutes. We also found that once we laid the mat down we were constantly giving or laptop shocks (which of course is not good). We moved the mat and have been testing it for a few days. In our regular routines we don't shock anything, but as soon as we step on the mat we get a shock when we touch the filing cabinet (as an example).

Perfect for plush rug
Perfect for plush rug! You need to straighten it with weights for about 3 days because it comes rolled up.
