What is the outside size of the base????

Has anyone hung it upside down? I need to hang from my soffet.

Can the photocell that detects dusk be adjusted? Seems to only want to turn on in pitch black and not actual dusk.

I know that the manufacturer claims the sensor range is 180% and up to 72 ft. Has anyone test it with that claim? Or just like others with max. 50 ft
