Well this is the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever lay down on, but I knew that was likely when I bought it. However, I’ve used it 3 times now while playing a meditation and have totally zoned out each time (drifting in and out of a light doze I think...) so I have to say it does create a deeply relaxed state in your body once you get over the initial discomfort.Beautifully made and very pretty to look at. I love the bag it comes in. Easy to pack away and carry. I’ve not washed the mat cover yet but looks simple to remove and replace.

I love my new acupressure mat. It is the first one I have had. It was very relaxing to lie on the mat and I felt a warm feeling through my body after 10 minutes. I didnt find it uncomfortable at all. I like the natural fabric bag that holds the mat too and the colours of the mat are nice..the turquoise on the natural fabric background look fresh and enticing. I want to buy this as a present for friends now.

I read a lot about acupuncture mats and decided to try, as have regular headaches. It arrived as described, wasn't so bad to lay down, you get used to it and I personally didn't feel much discomfort. But can't say that it is always helping me as traditional painkillers. So may be it would work better with back problems.I'm using it time to time and happy with quality it made and bag is very useful to put it tidy away.

I've been thinking about trying an acupressure mat for some time and have just bought this one. I love the natural fibres and it comes with a bag to put it away and to make it easy to carry. I suffer from back and neck pain following an accident many years ago. My neck was particularly painful and a bit stiff when I had my first session. I was going to start in my recliner chair and with a t-shirt, however I ended up going straight for the lie-down and naked on my bed for 20 minutes. The difference was immediate, my back felt warm and relaxed but my neck was the biggest change, it was more relaxed and mobile and the pain virtually disappeared. This is definitely something that I will be doing regularly and I would recommend it to everyone!

Once you get used to lying on a bed of sharp objects, it actually does help relieve back pain.
