works great for cheap controler
works great. have about 5 panels, 230 watts, maybe about 15amps at the most. I like the Volts display. I was using an multi-meter to keep checking voltage. Now I can just look over and see the battery Voltage.

Works good with lead acid batteries
So easy to use that you don't even really have to change any settings. Does not work with lithium ion batteries or batteries that have a BMS controller in them because this already is a BMS. I have 20 amps of solar panels feeding it and it maintains a lawn mower battery that I use for an inverter and 12 volt lighting in my safe room.

It works
It seems to be working just fine. I do wish they would make the instructions in the manual for the different menu settings with detail about what every function and setting is for but I just googled it all.

Worth the price if you just need USB from battery
Works well, although not efficiently, with 12v panels. It's easy to use although has no setting for Li batteries. I use one for 12v LiFeP battery and it works fine. You can set the voltage for charge and float. USB outlets control voltage at 5.1 v regardless of battery volts (anything from 10.5 to 14 on mine). Worth the price for the controlled USB voltage from a 12v battery.

Updated response
Bought this to control my Siemens 200 watt panel that puts out around 19.7 volts normally. I'm in the process of building a simple and portable solar system that's mainly going to be used to both energize and electric fence charger for our goats and canines as well as provide 12 volt lights for inside of our greenhouses. Connections are simple and easy to connect. Digital display is nice to have too. Price is awesome.Update:Installed with a Siemens 200 watt panel and out to a Mighty Max 12 volt battery just to charge. Lasted two days now nothing. No display, no charge, nothing. I'm not happy. It's installed in a waterproof enclosure even. I'll be contacting customer support with this one. I'm past the return window, so, I'm out of a controller and have to buy a new one. I'll be buying a different product though. This one is a POS...

Hit or miss
I have several of these currently 2 in use. One for chicken coup fencer and led light strips. Less than 50w...now the 2nd I have 3 50w 12v lights in my shed hooked up..they were with a switch nicely..however I went to add a 4th today. The controller fails over and over...large 27 and 29 deep cycle battery on each. 200watt solar charging..adding the 4th light to equal in theory 200w of usage shuts it off..not sure how these actually work but if their made to work load = solar energy their worthless. Might have to consider something else for more power..
